Beware, this facility will not allow outside food to be brought in. And, if you are there for a full day of volleyball or basketball tournaments, there is NOT a healthy choice of proteins available for the athletes to eat. JUNK FOOD; Candy, chips and soda is all they have. These boys need to replenish their protein, not eat junk. We complained last weekend, and they brought in some beautiful fruit. Thanks, that was a start, but NOT SUFFICIENT. The restaurant next door has tasty food, but they are slower than molasses in Jan. It took 40 minutes!!!! to get 1 hamburger, one chicken wrap and one hoagie sandwich. That is ridiculous and not a solution for kids that have to be back on the court in 40 minutes. Until the facility recognizes that to truly be an "Elite Training Facility" they will also need to be accountable for the nutrition of the athletes for that day, my advice for parents and kids is to pack your own healthy sandwiches, cheese sticks, protein bars and nut bars,...
Read moreThis is our first and last year of playing basketball at the Belleville Sportsplex. Had several weeks of poor referees not making good calls or good judgement for the safety and wellbeing of the players. We signed up our team to learn the game of basketball and all they have learned is streetball. Games have gotten out of control. Talked to Keith Witter(head of the basketball program) about our concerns for safety and learning the rules of the game three weeks ago and today two players on our team had serious injuries ( bloody lip and head injury) with NO FOULS CALLED OR ANY ATTEMPT TO CONTROL THE GAME BY THE REF. When ref was confronted he laugh, shrugged his shoulders, and did not care about numerous parents concerns about safety. This season at the sportsplex is making our players not want to play basketball anymore. The way the sportplex in Belleville runs their basketball league I would not recommend taking your kids there if you care about the safety...
Read moreThis is a nice court and our first experience was great. However, to get a hold of someone (via Facebook messenger, email and phone calls) is almost impossible. When I was finally able to get a hold of someone to reserve, we had a great time. We wanted to reserve again so we spoke with the employee there, Devin I believe, face to face to reserve the volleyball court for our 2nd visit the following saturday and he said "Okay, I have you down for next Saturday, Nov. 26th from 7 to 9", but when my group showed up there was only one person there getting ready to close up. When we asked what was going on he checked and called the person we made the reservation with and we were told we weren't "in the books". The majority of my group live about 30 minutes away and it was super inconvenient and unprofessional. We really like the facility and it's just a bummer this happened. We don't want to risk wasting our time reserving again with the fear of it being closed or being...
