This course is ran by fossils that only want people their age playing on the course. My group of 6 was banned from this course after joining together for the final 3 holes. We were asked to play in 2 separate groups, which we more than respected for the first 15 holes. On 16, 17, and 18, since we did not have anyone too close behind us, we joined together to finish our 2v2v2 scramble on the last 3 holes.
Upon finishing our round, we took all our trash out the cart, and went to return our cart keys, and then were told to never come back to the course. Keep in mind, 6 players paid green fees, spent roughly $70 on food and drinks, did not leave any damage on the course or carts, and essentially were banned from the course in February.
They treat their course with respect and make it seem as if they have extremely high standards, yet when we first arrived and got into our cart at 9 AM, 3 black and mild buds were still in our cart, roughly 15 beer bottle caps, and a large amount of sun flower seeds everywhere. Their course is nice and we’d love to play it again, yet the retirement community staff treats this course like Augusta National and is...
Read morePlayed there 30 years ago as part of a golf package. We stayed at the Lafayette hotel in Marietta 2 nights( which was beautiful and didnt know at the time its haunted). Got there on Friday and it was raining. We all really wanted to play and they said we could but they wouldnt let us take out carts, we would have to walk. I dont blame them, It had rained hard for 12 hours. It finally turned to a drizzle. The next two days were beautiful and we had a great time. Saw deer on the course while we were playing. Despite the rain, the course was in great condition. The club house didnt offer much except pop, chips and hot dogs. Not a large selection of balls and accessories but it was September and they probably wanted to clear out inventory of the winter. Is it a 5 star golf course, No. It is a nice local course set in the country that is fun to play and a tough little course. Their signature hole has a Ravine that you have to hit at least 150 to clear to get to the fairway. I want to go back someday but its 2 1/2 hrs...
Read moreIf I could give it zero stars, I would. I live 5 minutes away and I’ll never be back. To start with, the tee boxes and “fairways” looked like they hadn’t been mowed in weeks. Horrible conditions. But the real issue with this course is the people who play there. Hadn’t played there in a year and a half due to too many encounters with rude and entitled people. Decided to give it another shot. Huge mistake. We had a tee time, didn’t just show up. It was cart path only so naturally play was a little slower. Add that to the terrible conditions. We were only on the second hole and a man who, based off his entitled attitude, I’m assuming was a member pulled up and proceeded to chew us out because we weren’t playing fast enough to suit him. It was the second hole. We would have gladly let them play through on the next hole. To sum it up, the course looks like crap and the people who play there are extremely rude and think they own the place. I do not recommend...
