Who doesn't love to go to the fair! Go alone, with friends or family, there's something to see and do for everyone. This year I tagged along with my daughter and grandson and granddaughter. We saw lots and lots of animals! We petted goats, a donkey, miniature horses, bunnies, chickens, horses (I'm probably missing some). We were petting one horse that just loved being petted and didn't want us to stop, when suddenly, he sneezed. Oh yes, he sneezed snot all over us! 😄 ...that was the end of petting him, but everyone had a good laugh! We also had supper from various delicious food stands and drink stands..porkchop on a stick (highly recommended for big meat eaters), foot long hotdog (a fair tradition), cheese curds, lemonade, real malts, and sodas from the boy scouts and the girl scouts. We ate while we listened to a wonderful country western band and my granddaughter entertained us by dancing as they played. After our leisurely supper we watched a horse and owner costume contest, that was so fun. Then we hit the community building and the kids got a kit on how to use the internet safely from the police. They really liked that and worked on it as soon as they got home! We were making our way out of the fair because it was starting to get late and we saw the Games! Of course, the kids played their favorite game and both won a prize, so we started to go our separate ways, I was parked on the opposite side from them (lots of good parking 😊), the kids were wide awake and beaming with their latest acquisition, and no doubt sugar. Their mom, however, looked really tired after a day at the office and then directly to the fair. So I told the kids to talk to their mom on their way home... 'mom' must have heard me giving instructions to the kids because she suddenly looked wide awake. 🤣 (oops) So you see, you can have a quiet fair experience or you can hit the games and rides and go to the stock car races and also hit all the buildings. If you want to see it all, you should get a $10.00 parking pass which is for all of the days of the fair. Otherwise parking is $5.00 a day. There are handicapped facilities in the bathrooms on the fairgrounds. Look up the fairs schedule of events on line or it's also in the...
Read moreMy wife and I have been to many different county fairs in Minnesota and the Beltrami fair is hands down the best fair going. A good selection of foods, a nice Jaycee Beer Garden, good live entertainment and a very active 4H club with their farm animals. The fair grounds are clean and well organized. To top it off, it's only 5 bucks a...

It is a wonderful place to walk your dog, go cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and attend one of the many bazaars that they hold throughout. In addition there are horse shows and dog shows and other...
