Bemidji Community Arena — Local services in Bemidji

They have once again changed management of this facility. I have been here often & most Bemidji residents want the Sanford Center to do well unfortunately they keep falling short. ☹ From the design to get into functions, limited to three street access & parking ( park at local bars and take their courtesy bus drops - you off and picks you up at the front door) Call ahead if you have someone with disability for needs with assistance & special accommodations. Ticket box is just as limiting as the rest so plan accordingly to funtion if you're picking up tickets or purchasing at the window. Plan according!!! Concession food and beverages for events are high-priced like most arena venues. Most staff & personnel are kind, polite & courteous. Food & table service for Wedding, parties & events is incredibly disappointing. (Last event was a 200 peopleish Xmas party for a high end company & they ran out of 3 different meat entrees 😡 Food Service management needs extensive training on table, buffet & bar service. There were plenty of servers just embarrassing lack of direction in leadership by management.

This is a beautiful venue and it looks gorgeous when they decorated for parties. Bemidji people REALLY want this to be a successful venue, however the prices for events can be extremely high for families. We've lost the televised hockey games as a way to force attendance & as a community member feel it is a (jmo) sad mistake.

Some see this as a venue build not for the Bemidji community but for the client's they dream who will bring $$$ hopefully they will get on track with the changes in management & be a vibrant asset to this community.

Visited the winter girls Basketball tournament. Supporting the Richfield girls Basketball program they played well. Bemidji was a great host and the facility was nice.
