I do really love this place. A year ago this was my choice as being a beginner. The staff are nice, and the players are helpful and nice as well. Today though, it was a little rough. I'm not one to write reviews but I am one to write one when I know there can be things that can be changed for the better! It was a busier day and golf carts were backed up which was understandable I was in no rush. I was 30 minutes late to my tee time, which like I said was fine I understood. After completing 9 holes, me and my friend were accused from a staff member (a lady looked to be in her 40s I have never encountered) that we were playing a hole we shouldn't since we were done because she had been watching us. This hole was by the restrooms which is where me and my friend were headed. After explaining to her she understood but she said since we were done playing we had to return our cart. For the year we have been going we've always kept our cart all day and had no issues as we like to go to use the range they have as well. We knew that carts were tight but we were already late to our tee time per the carts being backed up, we figured it did not matter as we payed for the holes and for our cart. We returned the cart as she asked and there were 2 carts ready to be taken and 6 carts waiting to be cleaned, so there were plenty and by this time it was almost 5 and no was was waiting for a hole. After returning the cart we headed to the range to finish out our day. We went to the putter section. The SAME WOMAN came up to us apologized and said she wasn't trying to cause any trouble but she had been watching us all day and she could tell we were still learning but that I needed to move my car from where I parked at the range. I explained I was parked at a spot I saw someone parked at earlier so I thought it was no issue. I still moved my car, but I HIGHLY suggest extending your times between tee times as that was the main issue today, besides the staff member who I was being watched by for absolutely no reason. I suggested becoming a member as I have been very comfortable with this course for over a year now, but now I may never become a member because of this experience, especially being a woman, being a beginner, and not getting actual advice from this particular staff member. I feel there was more she could do to help us understand good golf etiquette. Other than cart girls and other employees casually doing their job picking up baskets and trash and greeting players, I have never been Interrupted while playing as I have been today or...
Read moreThis is one of my favorite spots to play when the price is right. Played a late round today, shot 86 with 2 birdies so not bad at all. On to the review.
Tee Boxes 4/5 - If they were level, I'd give them a 5. Unfortunately most have some high/low areas that won't fit you and the ball. The tee boxes on 14 are being redone.
Fairways 4/5 - Not the plushest, but is nice with few problem areas to speak of.
Greens 4/5 - Since I played later in the day, the grass got fluffy but I'm not taking points for that. There are noticeable depressions like poorly repaired ball marks that grass grew over. The grass itself is in good shape, but those spots make keeping a line difficult at times. I may be overly picky on this, but compared to other courses, it's alot more noticeable.
Bunkers 5/5 - I didn't end up in any today, but the ones I've observed were nicely upkept. Very small, but placed strategically. I played in the practice bunker and it was nice sand, no rocks or low spots.
Layout 4/5 - Nothing overly complicated here. Shot shaping isn't really needed to put the ball in good spots, holes are pretty straightforward. Some tricky holes for sure, with the par 4 13th having water all down the left and a forced carry on the par 5 15th making it a 3 shot par 5 for most.
Amenities 5/5 - I haven't review this course since I started playing it a few years ago, but since then they have made a driving range, a second putting/chipping green nearby. This is in addition to the putting green and the chipping green they already had. The chipping area has two bunkers and different lies to hit from up to 50 yards away.
Overall, it's a great spot. I'm not huge on the $70 price tag, but it can charge that much and be worth it. I wait for the hot deals when I can. Definitely recommend...
Read moreMy teenage daughter and one of her friends played on this course a couple weeks ago. They were partnered with two older men who were very helpful and kind to them. However, another older man on a golf cart, who was NOT playing golf, was rudely yelling at them on Hole ONE to hurry up and hit the ball (while the men they were playing with were out on the green). My girls were waiting for the two men to move out of harms way so they could hit. The next hole, golf cart man again yelled at my girls and said to them “I will pay you to stop playing golf right now!” It was so bad that the men they were playing with asked if my girls knew the man. He continued to follow my girls around the golf course for no reason whatsoever. These girls have experience playing golf, it was not their first time, so they are aware of the basic rules. We called over the weekend to let management know about the incident and were informed that the man on the cart who was yelling, was the OWNER, so nothing they could do except apologize. THE OWNER. Way to be encouraging to kids trying to gain more experience in this sport. These girls paid $55 each with their own money that they work for, for this awful experience. We will never set foot on this course again and I will write this review in every online public forum that I can find. If you can’t be more respectful to your patrons, no matter who they are, you should stay off the...
