There is a reason Butler has nothing but 5 star reviews. Dean and his crew are top notch. TL;DR- Butler Heating/AC saved me so much worry and headache not once, but twice. 100% recommend.

Dead of winter early this year, my neighboring house next door was vacant and was on the market. I was in charge of looking over it, which I always did. At some point in a 3 day gap of not walking into the house, I noticed no heat... the furnace died. This was on a Saturday. Started just calling everyone on the list of Google. Most companies were either closed or said they couldn't check it until Wednesday or later. While I was checking and calling, my wife was sending me more to check and call. My wife rules, because she found Dean Butler and company. He personally called me back in 5 mins, and said I'll be there within an hour. There he was working on an ancient furnace. He did not once try to sell a new one, he understood the emergency I was facing with frozen pipes. He quickly diagnosed it, didn't have the ancient part for the ancient furnace. But he ran, and picked it up, and came back late (after dark) to do the repair. All at a reasonable price. I knew I found my HVAC company right then and there

Fast forward to my experience last week with him and the crew.

Central AC (ancient) unit finally died. I've lived in the house for 10 years and every summer I was wondering if this was going to be the year it needed to be replaced. I had a company out as it was the company that was sent by my utility company and quoted me an ungodly amount with mediocre equipment. Regardless of what they're price and product was, I knew I was calling Dean. He came out within a day, this was a Wednesday when he arrived. He set the proper expectations and explained everything thoroughly and what to expect from the new system in my house. His quote with much better equipment, plus a couple add ones, came back much lower than expected based on the other quote I got. I was sold. Within the next few days it was going to jump up into the high 80°s, then this week in the mid-90°s! He originally said they could do it early to mid week the following week. I was worried and was looking into some portable AC units to get me and my family by. I got a surprise call that they'll be out that Friday! This guy is a busy guy, and I knew he had a lot going on that week and weekend.

I'm pumped.

System installed and I couldn't be more impressed. My upstairs is just as cool as my main floor. That is usually a 10-15° difference when it's 90°+ out! My house was so overdue and I'm so happy with this system. It's everything he said it would be so far.

Our heat exchange recently went bad and we needed a new furnace. Both furnace and a/c was pushing 30 years. Our water heater went out the evening of the 22nd of December. I tried to do some research on my own to figure out the issue, but wasn't coming up with anything. I called Dean and told him what was going on with it. He informed me that due to the age of my current unit and what I was describing to him that it would be more beneficial to replace rather than repair. When I asked him when he thought he might be able to do it, I was shocked when he told me "tomorrow morning". The next morning Dean drove from Lansing to Grand Rapids on pretty terrible road conditions to pick up our new water heater. When he got there he found out his supplier was closed. Dean then did some calling around and found us a new water heater elsewhere and proceeded to get it installed for us to make sure we had hot water for the holidays. He could have easily put this whole thing off a couple days, when the roads were better, when his normal supplier was back open, or just after taking a few days off for Christmas. He didn't. He got it done for us in extremely timely manner and at a great price. We will definitely be recommending Butler Heating and Air Conditioning to anyone and will continue to use them...
