I was able to enjoy the drive in the last full year before the original owner passed. Unfortunately I didn't buy any burgers or wedges then to compare. I did today, and I'm not excited as others are when it comes to the burgers or wedges. I completely understand growing up with a burger that when you take a bit 30, 40, 50 yrs later, it brings floods of memories back into your thoughts. My experience was the cheeseburger was overly seasoned with pepper. I was hoping to taste the great meat flavor, since I seen a post on fb about the quality of their burgers are bought locally (Wooohooo!!!). My opinion is there was so much pepper I couldn't taste anything but pepper. The potato wedges... So after receiving them, I realized they were fried on the flat grill which is totally fine, just like large fried potatoesโค๏ธ but not only were those overly seasoned with salt and pepper, but they were burnt in more places than not also with burnt particles stuck to them. It made for a very salty, peppery, burnt potato wedge experience. I assume many love the burgers because they grew up on them, but I will try a slice of pizza next time. Hopefully that will be much better than the pepper burger, maybe the grill cook was having an off day๐คทโโ๏ธ I do remember the popcorn was pretty good 3yrs ago. so looking forward to that! Definitely come out for a movie, we had a drive in while living in the suburbs of Chicago and when we lived in Arizona, so the experience within a drive in is about the same. Maybe next year they could add swings or some type of playground equipment for the little ones to get their energy out before the movie. THANK YOU FOR BRINGING THE...
ย ย ย Read moreWe have been here many times and no issues at all it's always been a great experience but this time as always I ordered two double CB and asked just like always to have onions chopped well if they can't do it that's ok it's not a big deal but my problem began when the young girl at the register if she could do it instead of saying nicely no as I said would not have been a problem the girl cooking the.burgers which if I heard correctly her name was kaylee, Hailey something to that effect she said repeatedly about 3 or 4 times as it made her very angry no we can't do that with a very hateful voice and if that wasn't bad enough about 2 minutes later the young girl at the register walked up to her and I didn't hear her question to the very angry girl but the angry girls response was no I don't have time to do request like that I don't have a knife and I was being to picky that it was bad enough when she has people requesting no salt or pepper she doesn't have time to deal with it and then the angry girl looked behind her at the crowd and was showed she was very angry shook her head as if she didn't want any customers. Well why is she working here and ruining the family atmosphere that this business is known for if she doesn't like her job she maybe having a bad day but the customers are the backbone to a successful business and attitudes like hers will put a...
ย ย ย Read morePrice is awesome. For 16 bucks my wife, three kids, and I can see two movies. Less stressing about kids staying quiet, and while there's a nice concession stand serving burgers and pizza In addition to typical movie faire, bringing your own food is readily allowed. Parking can be rough, and if you want to be in front, you had better be waiting when the doors open (4:30 for an 8:30 double feature that won't end until after 1:00, but you CAN leave after the first film) because they fill up almost immediately, though other spot may be available right up to showtime. All in all a very worthwhile and positive experience, but don't expect the typical movie theater experience.
Update 2023: New owners. They seem to be keeping most of the things that made this place great while updating things that can be improved. On our most recent visit the speakers weren't working, so be prepared with your own. Foods hit or miss in my opinion, but others rave about it, so maybe I'm wrong. Prices have gone up, same family that was $16 above now cost $34 BUT one of those kids hit adult threshold. Not sure if its just new owners trying to make business pay, or inflation or both. Still a good experience and a...
