This was our first experience at Hidden Creek Farms and we will never go back. For starters, itās apparently not dog friendly. We called ahead of time to see if we were able to bring our dog and decided if we werenāt we would leave her in the car while we quickly got our pumpkins. We get to the farm and a man starts waving us down and yelling (as if someone else werenāt going to stop us at the admission table). I politely went over and told him we called ahead of time to check to see if they were dog friendly but that it was no big deal. We would leave the pup in the car. After rudely interrupting me and telling me that āitās not fair to say they arenāt dog friendly because he has dogs.ā Well, if we canāt bring our dog, itās considered non dog friendly. We get to the admissions table after putting the pup in the car and the man ahead of us says heās in the military and gets a discount. When itās our turn my boyfriend says āDid I hear you give military discounts?ā The woman says āyep we doā and he said āokay I was in the Air Forceā and she said āuhhh... yeah okayā her exact words. Like she didnāt believe him. He started pulling out his military discount and she had already given him change back and said āitās fineā like she didnāt want to see the ID. In that moment I wanted to shove that military ID in her face and say āyouāre welcome for your freedom!ā But I just walked away. Then when we actually get into the place you have to take a hey ride to the pumpkins. We were not planning on being at the patch longer than 30mins and we knew that would take longer. So even though we just paid to get into the patch when we didnāt need to (there are pumpkins on the side that have already been picked) we picked up some pumpkins and left and then when walking out to the parking lot the owner collects the receipts to make sure youāre not stealing pumpkins, like really? I would recommend Freeman Farms itās nice and cuter and the people are much friendlier. I will never go to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy family only spent 5 minutes at this place and left. The customer experience was awful! I have a 2 year old son who took a step off the sidewalk into the flower gardens where a sculpture windmill was and the 3 employees working in the front near the parking ganged up on us. They were pretty mean about it and kept saying how it was so dangerous. I think in the 5 minutes that we were there I counted these 3 employees stating it was dangerous 15 times. My concern was that in spite of my actions to remove my son from the flower bed and keep him on the sidewalk, they continued to scold us. (There is certainly a difference between concern for the well-being of a child and scolding the parents.) Upon stating that I was indeed doing my best efforts to keep him out of the flower beds, they stated that they had already told my husband several times. My husband retorted that they had only stated it one time. On top of being unwelcoming and rude, they were also being dishonest about their previous actions. At this point, I announced we were leaving. If the sculpture was so dangerous, why did they have it out front in an unguarded flower bed that was certain to draw the attention of children? Additionally, why did they feel the need to lie about their previous actions regarding their interaction with my husband? This is certainly not a kid friendly place, nor is it a place I'd recommend anybody to go. There is a pumpkin patch down the road not more than a 5 minute drive where the experience was wonderful and invitingā¦and safe for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhat a great, family run farm. We spent the day at Hidden Creek. We paid $7 for 4 of us to go on a hay ride, kids played on the different playground equipment- including climbing "tire mountain"- we saw all the little farm animals (chickens, cow, goat, turkeys), went through the hay maze inside of the barn. We paid extra for the pumpkins (45Ā¢per pound), pony ride ($4 each child) and got our kids 2 small snow cones ($4 each). I usually am a pretty conservative spender- and would normally only pay for the included activities, but the family that runs this place is amazing! They are so sweet. Everyone seemed to abide by mask/distancing without any tension (which is a relief now days-everyone is so on edge about this everywhere else). There is an outdoor sink with soap and water and clean port-a-potties. Between the social distancing and masks, the sink and my hand sanitizer, I felt pretty comfortable taking my family on this outing. Made me so happy I splurged on some apple cider and an apple pie...
