My son and his family took me to a craft fair at the Clarke County Ruritan Fairgrounds. They had a variety of beautiful, handmade crafts and a great choice of food and drinks, spread across the fairgrounds. We gave it our best shot, but couldn't possibly see everything. We ate several delicious foods. The snow cones my favorite on this hot and sunny day. My son's family bought a variety of items, a large painting, homemade clothing, etc... Read moreLuckett's Spring Market was held here. The market was nice. Early Bird shopping was just okay...seemed like 300 or more other "early bird" tickets holders had the same idea. Super Crowded...certainly seemed great for the organizers and good for vendors.
Beautiful staging and display ideas, old and new furniture and home decor. Good mix of vintage items including glassware and ceramics.
Wish the food/concessions (other than coffee) were closer to the event instead of a separate "pasture." Overall, okay.

Read moreWent to the yearly steam show last weekend and it was a great time. The fair grounds are clean, spacious and we'll layed out. The walkways are gravel or paved which is great after weeks of rain like we just had.
While this review is about the site I'd like to also mention the steam show, which was a hoot. More old steam engines then you can take in in a day, blacksmithing, vintage vendors and some pretty good food to boot.
