Piedmont Memorial Overlook — Local services in Berryville

I walk to the picnic table at the overlook a few times a week. It's a nice walk up from Sky Meadows or just a 2 mile jaunt up from the Liberty Hill parking lot on Rt. 50. Right now (Sept.) there is the largest expanse of blooming Verbesina occidentalis that I've ever seen. Deer are really common, the birding is great and there are rabbits everywhere...

If you are hiking the north ridge trail in sky meadows park , you can take the memorial overlook trail from the piedmont over look intersection and you would find almost heaven once you have hiked. This overlook is quite educational as well and you can see the entire loudoun county from up top. Beautiful views of the vistas and a great motivation...
