My girlfriend and her family recently went to this rink in hopes of a good time, but they were turned away. One of their sons, has cerebral palsy, and is confined to a wheelchair. He must use it in public, as it is the only way for him to get around. When he and his family attempted to enter the building for an evening of fun, they were told to leave and, in full and blatant violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act, the police were called and the family was removed by authorities. The ADA states in the following passage the illegality of this act. The woman who runs this "establishment" and her daughter were in full knowledge of their violation, as they indicated during the argument that took place at the rink. The outrage, astonishment, and hurt that my loved ones have suffered at the hands of these two heartless women is unforgivable. Nor is this the only violation. I have been told of numerous other handicapped people who have been turned away, and there have been several injuries due to unsafe conduct at the establishment. The two women are now eligible for a suit to be brought against them and their business to be shut down, but no action has been taken.
This documents the eligibility of the suit, and any other violations may fall under different legislation.
Under Title III, no individual may be discriminated against on the basis of disability with regards to the full and equal enjoyment of the goods, services, facilities, or accommodations of any place of public accommodation by any person who owns, leases (or leases to), or operates a place of public accommodation. "Public accommodations" include most places of lodging (such as inns and hotels), recreation, transportation, education, and dining, along with stores, care providers, and places of public displays, among...

Weāve come here a couple times a year for the past decade and probably wonāt be back. The crowd wasnāt too bad at 4pm on a Saturday, but the staff (and most of all, the parents) couldnāt seem to keep any control over all the young kids ā many of them going the wrong way against traffic and putting everyone at risk. The DJ is usually amazing and makes announcements, but thereās just no followup. It really hurts the experience for general skaters who always have to worry about running over a 4yo. For what itās worth, parties are available during non-public times (weāve attended them), but that doesnāt stop parties from happening all the time.
Our concession stand experience was also pretty bad ā clerks didnāt enforce the line, offering service randomly to anyone who was there, and generally taking their time with everything. The lady in front of me made about 3 āproxy ordersā for other people in her group that didnāt want to stand in line, which took forever.
The facilities are amazing, I just think a little more rule enforcement would cut down on the chaos a lot. Use those volunteers and āregularsā for something other than just the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe people who work here are nice enough, but this place is pretty dumpy. Be aware that they only take cash and if you need to run out to your car to get something, you have to take your skates off (even if they are your own pair). They offer "walkers" with wheels for small kids who aren't good skaters, but they rent them out to older kids who can skate perfectly fine and are out there doing tricks with the walkers. Meanwhile, smaller kids who are waiting to get one can't enjoy themselves. When we finally got a walker, we were todl it woudl be another $7. There were kids not wearing skates running out in front of skaters and kids going the wrong direction. A good skater would have a hard time dodging all of this while not injuring themselves or the small kids. It is also extremely loud. The woman making announcements (that you cannot understand) talks over the music, which is already loud and hurting our ears. We would not return to this...
