O'Neil's Home Furnishings — Local services in Bethany

I chose O’Neil’s furniture to buy a much needed and mattress. Sales rep Jody treated me with respect. She listened to my needs and showed me the inventory on their showroom floor but offered to order anything that might meet my needs. I have incredible back pain from spinal stenosis and a recent hip replacement. I had visited the big Nebraska Furniture Store in KC to check out their inventory a few days before visiting O’Neil’s. NFM is close to my daughter’s home in Parkville and she and her husband have purchased several items from there. I was unimpressed with their sales staff and inventory. But there was one bed that I really liked. I found the same bed on O’Neil’s showroom floor and it was priced less!! Then I had an idea of the type of mattress I wanted and it was reasonably priced. I had done my research prior to my shopping. I found exactly what I wanted. Then I asked for financing. Jody made up the bill and I bought a plus mattress cover as well. Mrs. O’Neil sent my information to the finance company and I was approved on the spot!! Then they said their crew could deliver the next day which was Saturday. They had a delivery in Princeton in the morning and my bed would be delivered that afternoon. I was thrilled. The delivery was switched to the morning the next day which made me extremely pleased. The men were so polite. They set up my bed, showed me all the unique aspects of the bed and the hauled off my old mattress and sleigh bed. This is the best experience I’ve ever had when it comes to buying a big item. I love my bed and so does my back. I will definitely go back for a recliner and couch as soon as I...

Update: Previously left glowing recommendations as the furniture looked amazing but just a few months in and the motor on electric recliner went out. Couldn’t get it to go up and down. The beautiful table started fraying. My accent table particle board chipped away and the light on the kids bed wiring stopped working. We ended up selling everything at a huge loss because we ended up moving and didn’t want to take all this broken and non functional furniture with us. On the outside everything looked amazing but we expected the furniture to last more than a few months. Extremely disappointed in the lasting quality of the furniture we purchased and believe me none of them were cheap they were all high end pieces. Over the course of 6 months we spent thousands redoing our entire house with furnishings from there to only have literally half of it break, fall apart or stop working. A total disappointment.

We were looking for things affordable without sacrificing quality and this place goes above and beyond. We live in an older Victorian style home and wanted a few pieces to update modestly. They not only met our expectations but exceeded them. The staff is always professional and work with you to meet your needs without all the pushy sales type. They truly want you to be happy with the selection and choice of product in which they stand behind....

Absolutely would NOT recommend this furniture store to anyone! We bought a new sectional from them to be delivered. Upon arriving an hour late with no courtesy call (I had to call in my o find out when to expect them), the drivers smelled of cigarette smoke and wore no shoes covers so tracked snow and mud all over my house. The delivery drivers could also not put it together correctly therefore we decided it was the wrong configuration. They took it back and got it put together correctly in their warehouse that evening, but tried to charge us another $100 for delivery and set-up after we already paid that the first time. Very rude customer service and tried to blame the entire experience on the customer. I will never buy from this...
