Mixed bag out in the country. In the middle of absolutely nowhere. Played on a Groupgolfer certficate. Definitely worth that price. WIDE OPEN FAIRWAYs. Hard to lose a ball. Ideal for a bomber who isn't accurate. Great for beginner as well. Greens slow, but VERY sloped to even it out. Traps in decent shape. HUGE difference between tee boxes. From blues to golds probably 100 yard ave. Nice folks in club house, but club house needs overhaul. Men's room smelled like a portapotty. Guys at clubhouse did NOT recommend snack bar. Bar maid was very nice (filled my water bottle) and patrons seemed happy. Carts OK, but paths were horrible. Some pretty vistas and photo ops. If not way out of way...
Read moreI enjoyed playing a round at Blue Mountain golf course. Played late May and course was in shape to play. Greens were cut nicely and had a good read to them. There were no major parts of the course that were under repair which is always nice to see. The clubhouse was a bit outdated and the draft/can drink selection wasn't quite comparable to other courses in the area but they had plenty of food choices to order for a reasonable price. Read moreCourse is in nice shape (4-5 rating) and fun to play. Management is lacking (0-1 rating). Nobody answered the phone when I called to book a tee time ... left message with tee time desired. When I called next morning, my desired tee time was given to someone else. No ranger on course ... 4 groups of golfers/tee times stacked up on hole #4. A cart broke down for the group in front of us ... course said they had nobody to bring him a replacement. Byler needs to step up its game...
