Dave's Country Store — Local services in Bethel Township

This USED to be my favorite place to shop since they have opened. You got the small town service with kind staff and great prices. They changes made in the last few months have made this place go down hill fast! The new staff is just plain rude! If you want something from the deli and a lady named Justine is working just forget it unless you enjoy being spoken down to and listening to her spew vitriol about everyone and everything that has to do with working there. The new cold room contains more moldy items then anything else. They started serving coffee and donuts in the morning but the last 3 times we have gone down just after they open they have not had them and no it’s not due to selling out they just didn’t bother to get them. Dave's Country Store is an economical, primarily grocery store, but will also have other household items periodically. Produce is sometimes excellent and is at times locally sourced. The lowest priced items are typically at the end of their useful life or are canned goods that are at the end of their labelled date. There are deli meats, frozen meats and fish, and they regularly stock grass fed beef in one pound packages. Love this place! Tuesday is the best day to go, that's when they get their produce shipments (at least last I checked), and the prices for fresh fruits & veg in particular are absolutely worth the trip! This is a perfect place for big families to stock up on fresh produce for incredibly reasonable prices. They've also got a deli, homemade bread (delicious!), a good selection of grocery items, especially for being a small store, and are a local small business very much worth supporting!
