TL;DR: IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR FRUIT TREES DO NOT BUY FROM HOLLANDIA! OVERPRICED AND DISEASED.

I started an orchard and wanted to buy some trees from local nurseries to get get fruit earlier. I bought a Santa Rosa plum, Duarte plum, and a Blackyork cherry. All three stone fruit trees I bought came with bacterial canker. At the time, I had no idea what bacterial canker was and though the trees were just stressed in the pot and will bounce back when planted. NOPE! And if you know how bacterial canker spreads, you know it spreads from infected trees. SO I spent $80+ for each of them and within 18 months not only have they been removed and burned, now I have bacterial canker destroying my other stone fruit trees. I don't have any pictures of the tree on day of purchase, but I do have a picture of one of the apricot tree next to my plums and cherries at the nursery on the day. If you look at the top left corner of the tag, there is a crack on the branch and it's starting to split, that is the start of bacterial canker. They (the stone fruit) all have it at this nursery. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY BUY HIGH QUALITY TREES.

An online barefoot tree is like 50$, I could have saved money and planted disease free trees. Additionally, all these trees are also poorly pruned/trained. So much so, the other apple trees I got from them needed 2 years of corrective pruning to get to even a decent shape. That could be blamed on the original tree nursery that hollandia orders from, but then why sell trees that are just going to get damaged from...

My 64 year old husband went to ask about our bill. The owner met my husband with two German Shepherd dogs to quell my husband's questions. The owner had an aggressive attitude about my husband' s pricing questions. The owner stated it costs twice the amount of the tree to plant it. The price of the tree was $295.00; the planting cost for a three man planting project was $350.00 implying we got a bargain; however, only two men showed up to plant the tree in less than 20 minutes. When questioned about the differential, he was met with verbal abuse. On hindsight, there was no pricing policy posted anywhere on the premises or on the billing statement. The owner said it took only two men so what does that matter. The pricing is billed on the weight of the ball of the tree which was not revealed to us upon purchase. We previously purchased two trees which we planted ourselves, but in this case they advised us we needed three men to plant the tree. We are writing to protect others against misleading pricing and very rude management policies to a simple inquiry. Please protect yourselves when dealing...

We purchased (4) 10 inch Scaevola Designer Combo hanging baskets for our wedding - about 1 week later they started losing their flowers and we couldn't understand why. Thinking it may have been from overwatering, I returned to Hollandia to find that all of their Scaevola hanging baskets looked terrible.

Before posting this review I wanted to give them the opportunity to make it right seeing as we spent good money on the hanging baskets and other plants as well. I called and spoke with Mona who informed me of their 2 day return policy with receipt. 2 days!? I thought I was hearing things. I would hope everything they sell can last for 2 days even under the crappiest care. Mona indicated she would have the supervisor/ manager get back to me by end of day. Never heard from them so this is my honest review.

If you need to rely on a quality product that will last a reasonable amount of time especially for an event as important as a wedding - take your business where they'll stand behind their product and name for longer than 2 days w/ receipt.
