i’ve had hibachi a lot in my life and this experience… was one of them.

there was a miscommunication apparently by whoever was doing scheduling because dinner was supposed to be 6 pm but the chef apparently couldnt make it until 7:45 AND STILL SHOWED UP LATE

the chef was hilariously bad at flipping his spatulas. he dropped his several times doing “tricks.” idk if it was supposed to be bad but if felt like just a random guy cooking food. also im a germaphobe and when the spatula hit the ground the first time i was turned off immediately

food was okay, tasted fine. (but imagine how bad you have to be at cooking to screw up fried rice, stir fry veggies, and grilled meat)

my friend had fun so thats all that matters but ik she was upset because it was her 30th birthday and she wanted everything to be super special

$60 per person is crazy for what we got. AND MANDATORY TIP? they were lucky that my friend is super laid back because the novelty of hibachi in the backyard was NOT worth it. i wouldve asked for a massive discount, like 50% off minimum

maybe the chef had a long day? who knows, at least he was engaging

overall experience was mid at best, but at least my friend had fun in the...

Mad Jackie Hibachi Catering is hands-down one of the best catering experiences we’ve ever had! From the moment Jackie arrived, the energy in the room was electric. He’s high-energy, wildly entertaining, and incredibly interactive with the crowd. It wasn’t just a meal; it was a full-on show!

Jackie kept everyone laughing and engaged while expertly flipping, chopping, and cooking up a storm. His charisma and skill are unmatched, and he made sure everyone was having a great time. Whether it was spraying sake, catching flying a flying egg, or involving the audience in his tricks, he made the whole experience unforgettable.

And the food? Absolutely fantastic! The portions were huge—no one left hungry—and everything was cooked to perfection. The flavors were spot-on, with perfectly seasoned meats, fresh vegetables, and rice that was downright addictive.

NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE. Our group of children were unexpected sprayed alcohol into their mouths. We thought it was water until we asked to taste it, that is when we found out it was alcohol/sake. It wasn’t a “mistake”. I kept asking what it is and she said sake and proceeded to try to give other children it. We asked her what she was thinking and to leave and she proceeded to do it again to a 3 year old!!! We had to jump out of our chairs to block her from doing it again. What kind of legitimate company sprays alcohol into children’s mouths?!? We have video evidence along with the alcohol bottle left behind. This all happened before food so we had to remove them from our homes leaving children scared and scarred from this company. When the owner didn’t pick up the phone I had the chef contact them in which they said they “outsource help” and were sorry. But quickly disappeared and has ghosted us ever since.
