Not a full 5 stars because the waterfall wasn't really THAT amazing. I am overweight and out of shape. A hiking novice. This hike was brutal for some not used to walking 4 miles at a time, let alone up hill on slippery rocks and tree roots.

That being said, the path is very clear and easy to follow, there are a few tree bridges over small water areas which are cool. The hike to the falls is mostly up hill except for the last 0.1 miles which is VERY steep downhill compared to the rest of the hike. Going back up was really exhausting. But the whole way back is overall downhill. I would recommend walking sticks for help navigating some rougher areas and stabilizing on the downhills.

The waterfall is very tall but not very voluminous, at least at the time I visited. Still neat to see. The trail is beautiful and shady the whole way.

You have to park in picnic area A near the trailhead and then walk back down the road to get to the trailhead. That was a...

This hike was listed as "moderate" in the waterfall book and local guides, but I would classify it as moderately strenuous. The trail is pretty steep for the average person, but it's not extreme. I'm in pretty good shape, and I was winded a few times. The sign says 2.1 miles, but I've heard that it's further than that. It took approximately 1.5 hours going up to the falls, and only about 40 minutes going down. It had rained the night before, so there was some muddy areas on the trail. Going in late November made the footing on the trail harder to see. There are lots of rocks and roots that were covered by leaves. Overall, it's definitely worth the effort. The hike through the woods is peaceful and beautiful, and the falls are a welcome site at the end. Just take your time,...

I feel like this falls is underrated and a hidden gem. We came here after attempting to go to grotto falls but weren’t able to find parking. It worked out to our favor because this hike was beautiful. It had jungle vibes to me. A handful of log walking bridges, tons of mushrooms and fungi along the trail and hardly ANY people. We probably encountered 6 people the whole time. We had the falls to ourselves. We came here about 1pm on a Sunday. It took me and my husband 2 hours and 11 minutes total for the hike not including stop time at falls. There is a steep downhill climb right before you hit the falls which you have to climb back up to leave. But the steep climb was fairly short in distance and after that, it was a gradual downhill hike on the way back. This was a...

This trail is a total of 4.4 miles to the falls and back. Definitely a moderate leaning towards hard as the terrain is very rocky/ lots of tree roots. Lots of elevation as well on the way to the falls. There are a few log bridges that were fun to cross. The last part to get to the falls is pretty steep and lots of roots. The trail is well marked. We saw quite a bit of flora and the falls were quite beautiful. Not a lot of other hikers which was nice. The parking lot is large as it's also a picnic area, so plenty of spaces. There is a restroom as well near the picnic tables.
