In May, called and booked 7 tee times for 26 guys for a Wed morning in August. I was given a group rate of $74.70. Between May and August, called 4 times to ensure our tee times and confirm rate as to avoid any problems. Everything was great. A couple weeks before, the course asked for the names of all the golfers to make check in easy which is a very reasonable request. I told them we would make it even easier and we would have one guy come in and pay for everyone at once. They seemed thrilled and he made a note of it. We show up and 4 or 5 of our guys want to pay by credit card. Was told by Crosley, the “owner”, the group rate was only if we paid for the whole group in one payment and that is their “policy”. Huh? I offered that to make it easier for you!!! I was never told about any policy in the 4 phone calls I made in the months leading up to our outing and instead of owning up to the mistake and miscommunication on their end, he held firm and made the credit card payers pay the full rate to cover his credit card fees. The good business decision, Crosley, would have been to honor the rate we were quoted instead of pissing off 26 guys who all said they would never come back to your course. Enjoy your extra $60, you just lost $2,000 a year from us. Be sure to show this...
Read moreGreat course, awful customer service and I mean terribly, managed. One of the worse off transactions, I've had with a business. Held my reservation with a card and ended up paying cash, at the time of play.
They charged my card anyway after promising they wouldn't. Then, after talking with Roger, who said my refund was processed, and two weeks later, with Jesse, who said it was, actually processed, since the first time, wasn't done correctly, but "didn't want to bore me with the details".
Ended up filing a claim with my bank, which, was also useless.
End result, TWO MONTHS LATER, talking with Eric who said, he didn't have the ability to furbish a paid receipt, BUT will refund my money. How do you not have access, as a business, to get a paid receipt?
Seriously, incompetent people working here. Play another course. There's plenty...
Read moreAwesome standard up north track - wooded with lots of elevation change. Course was well maintained and the greens were rolling pretty darn pure. Nice variety of holes, was definitely a fun track to play. Was my first time playing and I highly recommend paying more attention to the hole number signs that give descriptions on the hole, as there are more than a few blind shots out there (got stung a few times hitting where I shouldn't). This is way better than Manitou Passage, way better than Grand Traverse, better than Lochenheath, and for my money - as good as Kingsley Club. I try to reserve giving 5 stars for the rare occasions of excellence, and was tempted to give this 5 stars......
