New Pilgrim Baptist Church — Local services in Birmingham

Members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Upsilon Eta Omega Chapter worshipped together- Pre- Founders'Day 116th there. The Service was very moving. The choir- musician -were awesome and so was the new senior Pastor, Rev. Dr. Marcus Jerkins. He preached a rewarding and challenging message. The Service flowed. The Chapter presented a monetary gift to the church. Captain Latoria Jones , B'ham Fire & Rescue shared an informative presentation on the need to know how to perform CPR. I have been a member all of my life and even my family members were members and they denied to help me. It's sad that before they help you they have to ask you all those questions especially if you a member like why you haven't been to church in a long time or why this or why that. They are judgemental and that is not what God's house is suppose to be like. I can go to a Catholic church or other church and receive help before I can get it from my own church home.
