Every year in May comes the beauty of the green trees, the sunsets, and the rushing waters of Cane Creek right next door.

My family always comes here to watch my sisters ride their wheeled implements across the track, play basketball, or relax on the grass and the picnic tables. I don’t think of this as just a park with a playground for the little ones, but rather as a safe space for my mental and physical health, and somewhere to breathe when I need a break.

This park is almost solely responsible for any sanity that I maintained during my kids early baby and toddler years - becoming a Mom to two little ones & parenting during a pandemic is not easy.
