This is single handedly the worst golf course I've played in the western chicago suburbs so far. The first time I played here about a year ago I thought the course was okay for the price.
Well today I decided to give it another chance. My group get's through about 9 holes pretty smoothly until we find on hole 10, 4 groups are playing/waiting on this one hole. We called the proshop to try and get a marshall to come out and sort it out but all we got is a "I'll see what I can do" which at this course mean's nothing is going to happen apparently.
This continued to stretch out all the way until hole 14 where we decided to pack it up due to inclement weather (which we could've beaten if pace of play was enforced the slightest bit). Seeing that the group scheduled 40mins ahead was behind the group in front of them by an entire hole it explained everything.
Golf is a very expensive game, which is expected anywhere in 2025 but this place has no business charging $64 dollars per player. No half way house, each tee box is hacked to hell, greens are in every shape but okay, sand traps are worse than Little Tikes sandboxes. $64 dollars is such a disrespect to the community because clearly it isn't reflected in the course quality and the service (minus the very nice cart lady tending the 4 groups waiting on hole 13). Probably will never come back to play here unless I set aside 9 hours of my day to finish...
Read moreLet me start this off by saying if you’re looking to spend $60+ on a course this is NOT the one. We were able to get through 12 holes in 2 hours and 15 minutes but by the time we got to the 13th hole there was already a 4 group pile up. I gave the pro shop a call asking if there’s a marshall around and was asked “For what?”. I responded saying “well it would be useful for one to remind the group that was holding everyone back to keep up with the pace of play”. They responded by saying “We’ll see what we can do”. More often than not, that means they probably won’t be doing anything about it. Lo and behold they didn’t do anything about it. The group behind us called too, surprise surprise they didn’t send anyone out to fix the issue. We got through the 13th and 14th holes in 50 minutes and had to leave before the thunderstorm started. We would’ve been able to finish the round had the pro shop actually sent someone out. If there was an option to rate this a 0 star I would’ve done it.
Be better. Fix your tee boxes. Add rakes to your bunkers. Lower your price to $35. $64 is a joke and an insult for how your...
Read moreThis course is in absolute amazing shape right now. The greens were frusteratingly slow, as all Chicago courses at the moment, but I won't hold that against them as it was rediclously humid after a couple days of rain.
This course is long and difficult. It can be conqured by the high handicapper but in general I would say bring some extra balls. The fairways rather wide but there is minimal rough and the OB is mostly tall prarie grass that will swallow your ball even from a short hop in. Many of the fairways are broken up with tough bunkers, prarie grass, or water.
Its tough, but it also makes it one of the most intersting and beautiful coures you can play in the Chiagoland area for a fair price.
A Few Notes... The course doesnt return to the club house after the first 9, its a long continous track. You really feel isolated out there, even when its a full tee sheet which is nice. However, bring some extra water because there are NO water coolers stationed at any of the holes, and it takes the cart girls a long time to get around the full...
