Blair Meat Market — Local services in Blair

My husband has been ordering quarter beefs for twenty years. We switched to Blair Meat Market in 2023 due to our beef supplier retiring. 2023 went okay for price but this year in 2024 we paid $8.67 per pound - which is incredibly high. My husband called and asked about it, but they didn't really acknowledge his concern of the price. You can go into their shop and get 50lbs of hamburger for $5/lb. So, we paid a premium this year and they didn't want to acknowledge that. I don't usually write reviews but my biggest thing is to check on their pricing before working with them. We were better off just buying directly from his store (instead of processing the quarter beef) which hasn't been the case in 20 years. Before I had a beef cow processed at Blair meat market I called to ask for prices I was given prices for what it cost for butchering and slaughter fee which figured out to be $1.15 a lb so I had the beef brought in which it was being split into 4 quarters well when they went to butcher once it was there unaware of extra prices for getting 1lb packages of burger and 1 steak per package so now we got 2 steaks per package and 1lb burger packages which cost $1.33 lb now then was short on burger and never got sirloin steaks that was asked for so I called to see what could be done two different times and talked to some other person other then Jennifer and was told she would call back after figuring something out and never got a call back! Took in a pig. Didn't get our pork belly. Didn't even get any bacon or side pork so I have no idea what they did with it. Didn't get my pig cheeks. I asked for whole loins (different from tenderloins) but instead they cut up a whole bunch of pork chops. Called to talk to them about it and they said they would have to call back.
