Got harassed by a yard dog. He was talked to by to his supervisors, but that didn't stop him. He continued to drive by my truck honking his horn to get my attention, but I stayed hidden in my bunk. ( I'm a 5'3 female) Today I found out he called my company and told them some horrific lies. My company didn't believe him as I have worked for them for 10 years and this would be a first. Not only did he come up to me degrading my intelligence, then when he saw that would not work, he called me crazy, screamed at me to pick up the seal I had just broken as it broke, drove his truck around as I opened the second door to keep yelling at me, he kept driving by once I was in the dock. He lied to my company to play victim after he did all this to me, with one of thier own employees who saw it all. I asked the employee, he said this is normal for that yard dog to cause problems. If he does this to you, like he did me, he will call your job and tell them you called him a racist slur. Whats even worse, there are people who do get those words hurled at them, and its disgusting, when someone crys wolf however like this guy, then people who it really happens to are less likely to be believed, and that's hurts the community. I hope this guy gets the help he needs to be a better person, before someone gets hurt by his lies, and his out of control behavior. Good...
Read moreMy appointment time was 1200. I arrived at 0645. I was called to a door at 0815 and was unloaded and on my way out by 0930. They do have a staging area with around 12 parking spots. Drivers seem to have parked there before and after their appointments. When you first get there, either park and walk to the guard shack or drive to the guard shack. Check in. They will send you to the staging area to wait for a call for a door. Stop at the guard shack to receive your paperwork and further instructions. Go to your door, break the seal, put your paperwork in the back of the trailer, slide your tandems, dock, dolly down, disconnect, pull forward, and chock your tires. Then you can either call the number they give you, or use the freightsmith app to check in again and pay the lumper fee. When they are done they will bring your paperwork to you. How long it takes usually depends on the type and amount of product. This time it was very quick unloading. I had 5 pallets of yogurt. Last time it was a hefty Kraft load and they took 8...
Read moreYou guys need to fire the older yard dogs. Black, Grey beard. Every time I come here he stops me making up some more random crap that is completely off the wall. Have to have air lines stowed inside in a gladhand rack (which my truck doesn't have.) Can't sit in front of your trailer with your marker lights on, all lights need to be off. Can't go to the guard shack leaving one trailer door open they both have to be open, have to have all lights on including high beams and hazards while moving in the yard. We go through this crap every time I'm here and every time I'm here I tell him he's wasting his breath because I'm not doing anything he says. If DG wants things done they can post signs instructing drivers what to do. Everything here is rather pleasant for a big chain DC. From the guards to the people calling to tell you your bills are ready. This guy is the only problem. "That's how we roll" He says. I don't care. I don't work for DG, and he shouldn't either. For a yard dog he can't...
