Nancy who runs the place is the absolute best. She is as accommodating as someone could be. It is true, the fields do not hold water well and in most rains you can assume you'll be cancelled. They do try hard to reschedule the next day and get games in. Parking lot is dusty but come on, it's not that big of a deal. Food is better then most concessions in area. Plus they offer Beggars pizza! For spectators the beer is a plus I'm sure the coaches hate it cause every dad drinking becomes a baseball expert and lets everyone know it. The glaring blemish on this place is the umpires. 80% of them are terrible! I've never seen such a combined grouping of umps who do not know the game, rules, or the realization that just because a ball beats a runner on a tag play the runner isn't automatically out. I know it's tough to find quality umps so it is what it is. But most times I'd rather have a parent from each team ump the games. At least then when unreal calls happen it'll...
Read moreHorrible tournament to play in. Not only do they charge more for their tournaments they also charge you for admission to their run down fields and dugouts. They put up plywood with fake covered grass as the back stops. The paint is all wearing off inside the dugouts or just slopped on to try and make it look nice from afar. The seats they have for spectators feel like they are going to fall off the wall they are mounted too. Don't forget that you are not allowed to bring your own cooler because they want to charge you for their over priced water and Gatorade!! You would think with what they charge for admission each day they would have a nicer parking lot then gravel with big holes in it. Needless to say this is a tournament we will never be...
Read moreThis facility is very run-down and it is not maintained well at all. The seating areas are often littered with garbage they sell at the concession stand. There are many, many parts of the sitting areas that have holes and trip hazards just waiting for someone to break a leg or roll their ankles.
The fields are not good and the players hate the gravel, making it dangerous to slide.
They charge $7 entrance fees with no weekend passes. You'd think they would hire people to take care of basic necessities. The umpires are one of the worst I've seen.
I very much hate driving there for tournaments. It's the flea market of baseball. It's a total money grab with no interest to make the...
