Mindtrap Haunted Attraction — Local services in Bloomington

This is the first year I've been here, and it became an immediate favorite. This is the best haunted house experience I've had in several years, and I liked it better than the popular spots we usually travelled outside of Bloomington to visit. (i.e. Spider Hill at Three Sister's Park)

Here are some things I noticed and appreciated:

First and foremost, me and my whole group love the beginning of the attraction. I won't give any spoilers, I'll just say I've never had an experience like that at a haunted house and I loved the creativity all around.

The Escape Room - all I'm gonna say is DO IT. Pay that extra $5 at the ticket booth, it's totally worth it!

MindTrap Haunted Maze - just... Wow. It was awesome! I loved the variety and how they even incorporate so many environmental controls that enhance the experience. Beyond that, the actors were so enthusiastic about their roles, which I always appreciate (and that's gotta be tiring to do repeatedly!)

The whole thing gets bonus points for being inside, which means no standing in line in the cold. Plus, there are bathrooms that are easily accessible.

I loved the mini games that you could play while waiting in line. I think this extra step is a great way to take an overall experience to the next level at an attraction like this.

I just have to say the voting tokens are an excellent business model. Love the whole idea!

I haven't tried out the Zombie Paintball attraction yet, but with the attention to detail and enthusiasm these folks have, I would bet it would be a fun...

This haunted house was nothing like i’ve been to before! Just walking up to the place was so different from any other. It really gets you when you’re standing at the ticket booth and you begin walking down the dock… it’s pitch black and the little jump scares get you. The little child actors eventually tell you to follow the green lights on the ceiling. You finally do and THEN you’ve entered the haunted house. Fantastic with jump scares, some actors were really phenomenal. One thing I will stress is making sure you push don’t pull the doors to get to the next room. Mind Trap is better than ever this year! It is very different from every other haunted house, and very different every year, especially this year. Lots of new jump scares and new interactive experiences, with plenty of maze puzzles to find your way through, but look out for false paths, and monsters lurking everywhere. The finale is the best of any haunted house I’ve been through anywhere. I won’t ruin it, but if you are afraid of the dark, you will be even more afraid in the light.
