Longest story short: it presented itself in a familiar form to a scare back in Minnesota where I am originally from. Small plot of land that had a hayride, food, vendors, games and the haunted farmhouse. $25 combined for Hayride and House, wasn't sure what to expect. The same experience back in MN would have been double that price. Starting with the hayride, the 15-20 min ride featured great zones and each unique in their own way. The Male to Female ratio was 1 to 4/5. With more girls on the ride, Actors zoned in on them vs the guys. I for one, did not get acknowledged at all. Was just riding and watching others get scared. The only scare that got me, was an animatronic. Onto the haunted farmhouse; a approx 30 min walkthrough that had multiple sections that did challenge various aspects of fear. The pitch black part scared me the most. Actors in each section would have a mini story to be told and then select a random person to "pick on" and sadly I wasn't chosen (again females were primary). Throughout the maze there were some moments that made me let out a brief scream; never really had a scare experience. Final thoughts: For the price, not bad. If I had to pay more down the road due to increasing costs, unless the experience changes and actors are told to scare everyone you can (not girls only); I probably won't go again. Same price next year, sure...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe haunted house & the hayride were good!
The service upfront and food not so much! 1st off, when paying for the tickets, I got charged twice (which they apparently caught their mistake) and they didn't let me know nor did they give me a receipt of the transaction! The merchandise was a separate line & we had to wait until we asked the woman at the ticket line if we were to purchase there & the other lady came from behind us from talking saying she was the person we needed to see. I personally find it annoying when it's a busy night (it's posted on the sight that it's one of the busiest nights) that people aren't where they need to be, but having conversations & ignoring customers!
The food- best advice; EAT BEFORE YOU GO! I got halushki & a kielbasa sandwich - they were BOTH rancind!
The reason for as high of stars as I gave were the staff IN both the haunted house and the hay ride! The read the room well... It was good ol fun! If my entire experience was based off of the performers themselves, they'd have got a 5...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe went through previously on their VERY FIRST opening night on a Thursday 2 years ago, but haven't been back since until this past Sunday (October 15, 2023) We were anxious to see how much had changed/improved and I have to say it was pretty much everything, and for the better! From the very first scene it was scary and fun! All of the actors were great, and the scenes and layout were well done. Oh, and they CAN TOUCH YOU (which they did) and we love the little extra intensity! It took us about 13 minutes to walk through, which is right on par with the price so a good value. We then rode the hayride this time (which we skipped previously) and it was great. The construction/seating of the wagons is nice (you don't have to sit on the floor in damp hay.) The hayride was actually scarier than I expected based on reviews, so it was a blast. This place also has a very nice midway with food vendors and a fire-pit to keep warm. We will definitely be returning EVERY season to experience the changes,...
