I am an individual who use to drive tractor-trailer and because of health issues at that time resulting in me changing my career I now walk with two crutches and drive a beautiful 2013 Dodge Ram 1500. It was late evening on Ssturday and all repair shops in the area were closed and I didn't know of any backyard mechanics bit needed to find somewhere to get my anti-freeze topped off and truck checked out so that I could leave for Lancaster PA in the morning. I thought about the years I use to drive tractor-trailersvand decided to call one of the truck plaza's in the area and seebif I could get some assistance and the first one I called was Love's Travel Stop (LTS)! The first person I spoke to was Scott who I explained my delicate situation to and he told me to come on out and if they were able to assist me they would. We'll without dragging this on God sent me to LTS where I found three of angels here on earth. I call them the Three-Muskateers no matter what they were God sent for sure. Scott, Devon, and Eugene stood outside the work garage in freezing cold weather and addressed the issue I was having with my vehicle. Although I am not driving tractor-trailers anymore I still drive my Dodge Ram 1500. I own two of them and will always want to drive one from now on. I know this might seem boring to some of you but those of you who live with a disability or not, yet realize the true value of family can completely understand the importance of this message and the emotions when out of nowhere you are blessed with all the assistance you need to succeed. To the Love Company, Reginal Manager, Store/Shop Manager I persoanally and along with any other individuals who can relate to this wish that you could acknowledge the pride and representation that these three gentlemen provide to all the tractor-trailer drivers and everyday people that go through the many doors of all your service centers. Again, thank you Love's Travel Stop and Speedco Machanics Scott,...
Read moreLove's is awesome. Love's will always have a special place in my family's hearts.
The first time we found out about Love's was in January of 2024 when we took a family trip and drove down to Texas from Ohio. My son was just starting to point at things (he was just over 1 then) and he was fascinated by the hearts. We stopped at every Love's we could on the way down and on the way back up. Since then, it's a family tradition in a sense to stop at Love's on the way to wherever we are going.
Specific to this Love's and all Love's I have been to: they're clean, bright inside, and the staff is always nice. I've not once had a poor Love's experience.
The tradition my girlfriend and I have there is to get a coffee for the road. The only bad change they made recently was getting rid of the Hershey chocolate creamer! Nooooo! Lol. I'll live, though. Love's has all sorts of neat things you need or things you didn't know you needed. Car stuff, food, gut stuff, chargers, etc.
At this specific Love's, I got a pic of my girlfriend with my son under the 3 large hearts in front of the building. This is the only Love's I remember seeing so far that is designed this way on...
Read moreI stopped. Didn't need fuel, and wasn't staying for more than 15 minutes. I pulled next to the curb beside the building to keep the distance short to go in the store. Although i know you usually can't park there, they don't have anywhere to park for the disabled. I wasn't blocking anything, and regular parking is at least 300-500ft or more at the closest parking area. I am physically disabled and have ARDS ( acute respitory distress syndrome). I have severe lung scarring caused by covid pneumonia, and only have 1/3 of my lung function. Before I could get out of the truck... some nasty rude lady working the fuel island came over screaming at me to move the truck, that I can't park there. I tried to tell her I was only gonna be a few minutes... but she wasn't having it, and demanded that I move the truck to the back lot. I couldn't get 2 words in to explain the situation. I can only walk about 50ft at a time without being out of breath and have to stop for a couple minutes. I complied only to find 2 other trucks parked in the same spot I was in, that sat there the whole time I was there... even after I left. I doubt I will stop...
