Valley Ace Hardware — Local services in Boggs Township

I like trying to support the little guy and I do my best to do so but sometimes you have to go to Lowes or Home Depot. I do buy products at Ace it's a mile from my house but once I need to little lengths of chain and it wasn't big chain something to hang a planter in your home and it might of been 10 inches it cost me $23 I about fell over I couldn't believe they cost that much. So I won't be buying chain there any time soon and I feel like some products are priced OK but some seem a bit extreme and Ace could argue that they have to compete with the big guy and I get that bit we all are also struggling financially and i don't know about you but it seems like they aren't pricing based on inflation but willy nilly like we can price this item whatever we want and blame it on inflation. I feel like all stores are pricing willy nilly just because they can. I wanted to buy a chainsaw and they are literally twice as much as Rural King and I cannot afford those prices. If you need a tool or a can of paint or something like that it's worth it but some products are just priced too high. They have a Bug A Salt gun, $50 no bullish. A gun that shoots salt to kill bugs $50 like come on. It's pretty organized and clean it's not as easy to navigate because it's in a small building but you can generally find what your looking for. I will check the prices again if I'm wrong I'll gladly edit my review I don't want to give incorrect information I'm just going off of my memory. Just for the response from Ace I changed my 3 star to a 4 star for being willing to correct the chain price I paid. I greatly appreciate a company willing to fix where they may have made a mistake so I will trust them I'm wrong about the chain saw prices and give a 4 star review. Staff is always kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. They have a little bit of everything. If you can't find exactly what you came for, they can usually get you an alternative. Good paint selection, almost one of each power tool, plenty to choose from in hardware, and even fishing gear! Just on of those nice hometown hardware stores that really caters...

I was looking everywhere for Orange Oil to restore some wood. One hardware didn't have it but knew exactly what it was and admitted it was good stuff.
