Tagging along with Cooper Blanchard as I was a part of the “7-some”. After seeing the response from the course I felt the need to clear some things up so that we didn’t seem like a bunch of 18 year olds goofing around on the course because that was not the case. When we got there we asked to use youth on course which they said they didn’t have anymore but they let us use it anyway. After leaving the club house and checking in I even said myself “we should give them a good review” after they let us use our discount. We are a group that plays pretty much weekly on much nicer courses and a couple of us even are on the high-school golf team so it’s not like we are idiots running around for fun. We start off at the first hole by being held up because they let the foursome in front of us wait an extra ten minutes for their guy which was no big deal. After the starter started us in two different groups (no mention of not grouping up) the 3 that we had behind us were caught up by the second hole as we were waiting for the foursome in front of us. So like we have don’t a thousand times before we play with all of us since there literally was not a tee time for the next two hours booked so clearly we weren’t going to hold anybody up. After playing 6 holes with 7 we were actually waiting on the foursome in front of us so clearly again we were not holding anything up. We get to the tee box of the 7th hole and there is a guy cutting grass that sees us and then stops the mower after we all tee off. As one can assume HE was the one that complained to the club house. This was made more clear as we passed a total of 6 people including the 4 some in front of us on the next 3 holes and all of which looked confused as to why we’re driving through all of them. We quickly realized that there most likely was no complaints from anyone on the course. There was also nothing that would be taken as a “warning” like they said in the reply if there was we surely would have split back up but they were waiting for us on 7 and told we we were done. We were told that there was 6 complaints which simply did not make any sense. If you want a fun golf day I do not recommend coming here. We played the par 3 course near by for much cheaper and they had not problem with us playing all as long as we didn’t hold up the pace of play. I understand the “etiquette” but there was nothing being messed up or no one was...
Read moreHad a reserved tee time at 11:56 on Saturday, November 5. Arrived at the course early and was told they would have to bump our tee time back to around 2:30 because of a tournament that was taking place and everything was slow and backed up. Why would they schedule a tee time for us if there was a tournament taking place? There was no way we were going to wait 2 1/2 hours to tee off since we had a confirmed tee time. After some discussion of the issue and watching others tee off in front of us, we asked about playing nine holes instead of the original 18 for which we had a reservation. We paid for nine holes, which actually cost us more per hole than if we had paid for 18 as we had originally planned, but we were allowed to tee off on the back nine. However, we were warned that we would have to wait on each hole because of the slowness of play of the tournament in front of us. We arrived at the tee on number 10 and saw no one in sight. We continued playing the back nine and not once did we see any back up on any hole. We arrived at number 18 and once finished we noticed the parking lot was almost completely empty. In other words we could have played a full 18 without any issues if given the opportunity. By that time we were disgusted about the whole situation. My feedback is they displayed horrible communication regarding our tee time, poor course management in regards to tee times and terrible customer service in asking us to wait 2/12 hours and then having to pay a premium to play only 9 holes, when we could have easily played 18 a a lower rate per hole. I’ll take my golfing business elsewhere...
Read moreI’m in agreement with previous reviews. Very difficult to determine fairways from rough. Essentially a pasture. I don’t know how the get away with calling the a country club, That being said, if your goal is to work on your swing, not be pushed, for a very reasonable price. This is the course for you. At least that was the case for me and my son who’s just learning the game. He loves being able to play a round with just me and not being paired with others. Although it’s always difficult to get under the ball when you’re basically hit off patchy hard pan surfaces. Since there’s very few golfers on the course, you can take your time and hit from the same spot multiple times. Or place you ball on a better patch of grass and try again. Just bring plenty of balls if you don’t hit the ball straight. I wouldn’t advise searching very deep in the trees for you lost ball. I’m guessing there’s plenty of cooper head...
