Dollar General — Local services in Boise City

I don’t care how cluttered the store was, Nikki was my cashier & savior! I came hobbling in with heat exhaustion & cramps from my toes to my shoulders, I asked Nikki if they carried Pedialyte & Epsom salt. She said yes & was quickly off to gather up my supplies for my feeble minded attempt at self treatment. 2 hours later I was in the ER getting an IV, but she went above & beyond her job description to get me what I needed. I came back the next day & spoke with her, she told me she prayed for me last night, it was pretty emotional, but I couldn’t spare the sodium to shed a tear 🤓

I initially pulled into the parking lot to make a u-turn, saw her outside & just waved, but I had to pull back around to shake her hand & a million thanks! She was so genuinely concerned for my health & well-being it truly touched me.

This store is usually cluttered, but as a resident of the town and a frequent customer of the store, you learn how to navigate. Most times you have to wait for a cashier to come check you out, but the wait this visit was ridiculous. There were people waiting when we walked in; my husband went outside to notify the employees there was someone waiting to be cashed out. We did our shopping, made our way to the register, only to stand there for 10 minutes waiting on someone to come back inside again. My husband finally went outside again to tell the workers we were waiting to cash out. I'm all for workers having a smoke break, but one at a time, especially when you know you've got people in the store. And if they're going to have a button to press that "calls" someone to the front, the receiver should be with the employee, instead of laying on the counter where it...

This place was great! But it seems they'll protect themselves from what they do and put it on the customer . Hum ?? 👍 being sarcastic... Dollar General rather hire people to judge you like you shouldn't be there!!! Either your apart of the system or not and it can either be worst or better . NO WONDER OUR COUNTRY IS GOING DOWN!!
