Let me cut to the chase; I won’t be going back, and don’t recommend them.
Bought a used bike last year and brought it to them to inspect, change the oil etc. All that went fine with no word about any issues. We talked about the bike backfiring a bit due to an aftermarket exhaust. Got a few mixed messages between the front desk and the mechanic about if I needed to dyno the bike (at about $1,000.00) Opted to not do that and rode all last year with no problems. Talked about the cost of changing out the handlebars. They quoted me $1,000-1,200.00 so bought the handlebars in the fall to help offset the costs come spring. I was told they would set the handlebars in and give me a call to come in and make sure they worked for me before they changed out cables and so forth. I hear nothing for a couple weeks so give a call. Front desk says it’s ready to go and that’ll be $1,600.00 HS - oh well they did put in a new battery and changed the oil….and the math still wasn’t mathing….I never got a call to say it is going to run more than we expected and/or we should do this extra work is that okay? They said the exhaust was loose, but okay to ride as is. It should have work down the road, could be a $100.00 or it could be a $1,000.00. No kidding, that was the quote. So I pay the ransom and get my bike. The next day the electrical light comes on. I ride it, figured the wires were all just changed out maybe something didn’t get snugged up. The next day the light went off so didn’t bother calling to let them know. I also noticed the exhaust was completely disconnected from the engine so put in some screws to hold it together. The left turn signal also stopped working on the dash. Rode the bike for a couple months and the battery went dead over four days of not riding. I called and told front desk guy all that, and am told I should have it charging when I don’t ride it. Common knowledge. Didn’t have that problem last year and with an old battery, or the ten years before with my other bike. Asked them if they wanted to check their work and wow did front desk guy get offended. Just figured I would give them the opportunity to make it right before I wrote a google review, and they weren’t interested so...
Read moreI brought my snowmobile in for repair due to the check engine light flashing. No Problem I was told, we'll hook it up to our diagnostic tool and go from there. Diagnosis: Faulty Voltage Regulator. A week later, after numerous excuses for the promised part not arriving I was told that the voltage regulator had been replaced and the problem was not solved and their diagnostic tool said the ECM (engine management computer) had to be replaced. However, They explained, I was in luck, they just happened to have a spare ECM around and guess what, they plugged in this spare and the problem still existed. A little more poking around and the true cause of my problem was discovered: A loose ground to the chassis. Final Bill for a loose ground? $812.59. So: Clear Misdiagnosis from the start, incompetence at the parts counter, problem solving by parts swapping, and overcharging. Need any more reasons to avoid? When I respectfully complained that I felt I was being overcharged the owner (apparently this is a 3 person shop!) was nowhere to be found and to top it all off their "technician" mangled the muffler heat shield. My reommendation: AVOID THIS...
Read moreI have had my snowmobile and my motorcycle serviced by Mazer in the past. They are really nice guys, however it always takes them a very long time to get my machine back to me. First time they worked on an old Honda Motorcycle I had, they had it for 3 months... It needed a new stator. Second time they added a shock to my snowmobile. It took them 3 weeks to get it back to me. When I went to pick it up, it had been done and ready for over a week, but they forgot to call me. It is not organized inside, and they take forever. 3/5 has been my overall experience. They get the job done, but take way too long.
When I got my snowmobile back I realized the speedometer wasn't working and I needed a new jack-shaft. A good mechanic would have caught that, and notified me if I wanted to fix it. I ended up going to a more reliable and overall better mechanic for all my...
