Bois D'Arc General Store at Nana's Place — Local services in Bonham

I’ve been waiting for Bois D’Arc Lake to open for years. I’ve also wanted to take my wife to hunt for fossils at Ladonia Park. There was one more area attraction I wanted to check out: the aforementioned Bois D’Arc General Store. With hot summer breathing down our necks, it seemed like the best plan was to be on the road from Wylie this morning, hunt for fossils a while, then go to Nana‘a General Store. It’s a most likable little place. WOW, Nana’s bacon burger on a brioche bun was delicious. The burger, bacon, abs bread were a perfect combination. But, then, there was the pizza special with barbecue pulled pork and onion slices on it. The pizza crust was tender but not mushy. The toppings: well, they completely fit the pizza. I’m here to tell you that this was the perfect one-two punch. The tots that came on the side were delicious! But, then, I overheard all the peeps who were coming in asking about her banana pudding: “Geez’ that’s going fast. We were just here yesterday and it’s almost gone.” “Yeah. We had some people who’d come from a couple hundred miles away to get it”, she responded. My wife doesn’t like banana pudding: full stop. Well, we have to check this out. It was the best banana pudding I’ve ever had. My wife even liked it: not a little, a lot. “It has all these layers in it and these pieces of like lady-finger pastries in it. How could you possibly go wrong?” So, peeps! Go get a burger, a pizza, or both. Then, pray to God there’s a slice of BP (not the petroleum company) waiting for you. Obviously, we’ll be back. I love Nanas store! I say Nanas makes the best burgers! The buns and veggies are always fresh! We also like the tots, catfish, banana pudding and other yummy things! Her homemade honey peach jam is amazing and I cant wait to buy some this summer! We go to the river and the lake, so Nanas is very convenient when you just need a bag of ice, cigs, food or bait for fishing and don't want to go all the way to town. Thanks for...
