Mendocino County Fairgrounds‎ — Local services in Boonville

This hometown fair is just that "Home" This is my absolute favorite fair ! This year I found myself stranded due to a mysteriously dead battery in my pickup. I'm not just talking one battery but my truck has two ! I asked Jim, the Director of the Fairgrounds, for his help in jump starting my pickup after having failed attempt with friends participating in Rodeo. Jim sent one of his workers who came to my rescue with his own vehicle, another failed attempt, so this guy grabbed his friend with his own vehicle who then attempted to get me rolling with both vehicles jump starting both my batteries at same time . That's loyalty people ! A BIG shout out to my new friends at the Mendocino Fair & Apple Show! And even BIGGER shout out to the local tow truck driver from Star's Automotive who went the extra mile to get me two brand new batteries to get me back up and running ! THANK YOU BOB, ( Star's Automotive ) for all you did to get my rigg going again ! You'll hold a special place...

I visited for work for two nights and wish I could have stayed longer. Dolly, the camp host, was among the friendliest types of people that you might come across on your travels. She was very knowledgeable and helped provide my coworker and I with the ins and outs of RV maintenance and good practice. It was really nice to get the information as new RV owners. The site was quiet and low key, and the weather was beautiful for our visit. The bathrooms were pretty clean and the showers were clean and worked well....
