Been going here for years, here is my honest take. They are quite overpriced and itâs one of the biggest disappointments to me. I really love supporting local places and small farms, but I keep getting let down here. I wish we had a more reliable shop like this one around town, I would do most of my shopping there if I could.
Their produce isnât always fresh. Just this week I brought a few things from them â peaches for one example. When I got home I noticed some at the bottom were moldy. For an expensive basket of farm grown peaches I didnât think I needed to inspect all of them before buying, just looked at the top few. Also the fact that they resell grocery items with a massive price markup is insane.
Reading some of the other comments about how they treat customers is sad but not surprising. They have signs up that say things like âif we offend you let us know so we can laughâ, which should have been a red flag from the start. People who take pride in hurting others are not the kind of business owners I...

At the soap shelves theres and big sign saying "Do not let children touch soaps" I thought what's the deal with this? So my husband and I are looking at and smelling the different soaps and my little boy picks up one soap bar saying "smell this one" like his parents are doing. As I'm telling him to put the soap back because obviously I didn't miss the sign, the lady promptly leaves the customer she's helping with a brisk power walk to us "Hey, don't let him touch MY soaps, thats what the sign is there for". My little family walks over to my mom, who overheard and saw the exchange, and we decided to leave. I can't speak for other people's children but my son just wanted to smell the soaps with us. If she didn't jump the gun and come at me so rudely I would have bought a few things from there and possibly come back...

She tells my mother in law she isnât worried about what other people have going on and that she doesnât know anyone who has fresh peas, but her people will have peas tomorrow as theyâre picking them now. Youâre in a small community. The least you could do is help support others instead of appearing selfish. Of the fruit and vegetables available only the tomatoes, zucchini, & squash met my expectations. Now I will say her apple butter is damn good đ clean...
