I bought a fuchsia hanging basket from Costco this week and it lasted exactly 12 hours. We came home in the afternoon, hang our basket, saw a hummingbird getting attracted to it, and by the next morning the entire plant went limp. Today (day 3) I decided to check what's in the basket and pulled out an enormous root ball from the container. There is not an iota of soil in the basket. It's so dense that it's hard to separate or loosen it. I guess we could say at least we got the picture of a hummingbird for $14.99 that we paid...
