Acker's Acres Disc Golf Course and Events Center — Local services in Bowdoinham

Let's start out with pointing out that there are two great courses to play here. I'm traveling from PA and only had a chance to play one, so we chose Twisted. The pro shop has a bit of everything. Not a ton of discs, but they sell em which is cool plus snacks and drinks. The dude at the counter was friendly.

As others said, par here is probably a little soft but whatever. This course has just about every shot in its' arsenal. You'll need left and right. You'll need driving and short range. It absolutely demands you keep it tight. If I have any minor quibble it's that it's a little "same-y". I'm coming from elevation so this felt a little like 18 similar holes.

The property is a nice wooded forest though with good old mossy looks. There is a nice memorial on course. The amenities are all here. Tees are alright. There are tables all over and toilets to use. Trash cans when you need them.

The ducks...

The new owner is horrible. He screamed at me for trying to pet a duck. All I was doing was holding my hand out calling to it. He accused me of tormenting them. I would never so such a thing, I absolutely love animals. That's the only reason I was even calling to the ducks in the first place. He was so disrespectful and rude that my oldest son spoke up to him. Yes he did this in front of my children. And to top it off guy said no dogs were allowed. ( I didnt have my dog anyway) 2 people passed us with their dogs. I guess the dogs can be near the ducks but me , a mother who loves animals so much cannot be ! I used to love this course. My family and I went to play a round of disc here and everything was amazing until the end of our round. My mom went to grab her drive in the woods, which happened to be near one of the ducks they have “for mosquitoes” and he instantly assumed that she was “chasing and tormenting the ducks” he screamed at the top of his lungs at her from across the hole, and proceeded to harass her about it as we walked to our car to leave. They also have multiple holes that signs aren’t accurate to the actual hole....
