This school is unfortunately run by a school board and staff hat doesn't have the students best interest at heart. There are constant fights. Disruptive and disobedient students are given a slap on the wrist with no respect for staff. My daughter has personally been assaulted at this school with no real response from the school. The school board makes up whatever it wants regardless of if it's a lie or not. Today alone in it's school board meeting it was stated that despite the CDC guidance of 5 days quarantine it is still going to keep 10 days, but then stated the per CDC guidance they would be maintaining mask mandates despite an executive order. They referenced a rule by a judge that granted a pause for seven school boards that filled suites not CCPS. And willfully ignored that Virginia supreme court threw out the other lawsuits against executive order 2. These are not educators that care about children but about there own self serving agendas. They have been seen in countless pictures without there masks violating there own guidelines. They should all be ashamed of themselves. i went to CCPS for 4.5 years (2018-2023) and i do NOT recommend enrolling your child here. when i was in 4th and 5th grade i went to bowling green elementary and classrooms, cafeteria, bathrooms, counseling offices, admin offices, etc . had roaches and was mold infested. the only way i know about the mold infestation is because my father worked for a company that cleaned H-vac and vents. i was always sick while being in enrolled in CCPS . i’ve the administration is horrible and does not do anything when your child is being harassed and bullied . the counselors laughed it off and told me to grow up and stop acting like a “big baby” and claimed that the children that were bullying me were just “playing around”. while i was also being abused while at home , i reported it countless times to the school BEGGING for help. they never once did anything , and again, laughed it off and said i needed to “grow up “ and that it was just “punishment” for acting like a disobedient child. i hope this message relays to each and every one that is looking to moving/enrolling in Caroline county public schools.
