G & G Ace Hardware — Local services in Bowling Green

Good prices and excellent customer service. G&G is a really good hardware store, but what I really like is the green house, seeds and fertilizers. The green house is well stocked every spring with plants grown by G&G. While trying to stay on budget the staff has suggested for me to try locally made fertilizers rather than the more expensive name brands. The grass seed always seems to be priced better at G&G than what I can find at the big box stores. While local farmers who shop here have given me good advice for seeds about which seeds to try in my vegetable garden. This is just a great store. I drove out there from Fredericksburg to pick up some chairs for outside that weren't available locally. When I got there they brought them out and they said do you want us to dust these off as they've been outside. I was flabbergasted that they offered to do that and you would not find that kind of service from one of the big box stores. Additionally, I loaded them in the truck myself and broke one and they actually offered to replace it at no charge. Even though it was my fault. The customer service at this store was just amazing. I didn't know they had as much as they do until I started doing business with the on a regular basis. If they don't have it right then they will get it in for you. If you call in to see if they have something they take time to make sure they have it or not so you don't waste your time coming in. Who new a little country place had so much. I do now and don't ride 30 miles to the big stores to get something unless I need...
