Chatsworth Lake Market — Local services in Box Canyon

Another tough one to write, as I don't like to give bad reviews in general. However, I have to stay honest, otherwise there is no point for the review at all. I have decided to give 2 stars to this place just for the convenience of its location. The rest goes this way: 1) Products. There is very random selection of goods, just like 7Eleven, but very limited and very cheap quality of the goods they decided to carry on their store, no choices either. 2) Prices. Outrageous. Cane Sugar -$5.99 (compare to any grocery store at $1.99-2.99 in the most expensive store...I don't think i need to say anything else here.. Oh, customer service? Nothing to write...

A friend parked his car at Chatsworth Lake market at 9:30 pm, market closes at 10:00pm, bought beer from CLM then went to pick up food order at Lenny's restaurant, which is right next door, when he returned his car had been towed, no sign posted. Needless to say he wont be purchasing anything at Roy's (CLM) anymore which he has done for years and paid the outrageous prices. He has told his story to the rest of the neighborhood and they will also follow suit, great way to burn a bridge, It's one thing if the parking lot is full, but quite another when there are no cars and your closing within minutes. Not the way to stay in...

You know, local little market. More convenient than driving to the grocery store so everything is ridiculously over priced. It’s a good place to meet your neighbors and keep up with activities since there’s a peg board out front. And a little free library. And it’s mostly only locals who go there. And they all already...
