There are many access points to the reservoir for hiking or cross-country skiing. No boating is allowed. You can look up maps for numbered gates online. Sometimes a long walk is involved to get to the water, but the forests are lovely. Dogs are not allowed, which is generally the case for all water supply lands. Almost all access areas are beautiful. Not a lot of parking but I did find a spot along the main road. Take some bug spray to ward off the pesky nats, and take the camera. There’s plenty wildflowers and colorful mushrooms for a cool shot.
