Dollar General — Local services in Boyne Valley Township

While the store was clean and well stocked, the service by the cashier was the worst I’ve ever experienced! After complaining that he’s sick of having to ring up large orders, he huffed and puffed while ringing up my items and then proceeded to drop my bags on the floor in front of the register. I’m wearing a knee brace and have just had a painful back procedure done. He could see I was having a difficult time picking my bags up off the floor, yet decided to plop his butt on the counter and hop on his personal phone. Needless to say, I will never shop here again! The store was okay. The clerk was the rudest I have ever experienced in the area. My granddaughter and I went in for a few things. The clerk could not have been less helpful or more blatantly rude to us, but she treated the men behind us differently. We vacation here every year and I was excited to see a dollar general so close, but I will never spend another cent...

This store is an absolute JOKE. Rude employees, Hassles over returning cans, hassles over buying beer. I'm 46 with 3 forms of ID !!! F this store. I recommend going to Walloon or Petoskey. If I could rate it lower I would. It's NOT just one or two...
