Really nice place for events but when I got the tour for the place to see if I wanted my wedding there, there were just too many red flags popping up with what the main lady was saying. She had told me that there was no in house caterer which in fact there was. None of the approved caters want to work with her there except the BBQ place and we couldn't eat that stuff because almost my entire family is Celiac's and nothing on that menu was ok for them to eat and I needed to bring in outside food for them but I couldn't because this place is SUCH A JOKE to work with. I told them the night of the tour that I would NOT be using this place for my wedding and reception but she still took the down payment from my mom anyways and then trying to get ahold of her, or anyone else there, again was such a pain and a joke. I called about a week later to confirm that I would not be using the place and I never heard anything back from her about it. I had called several times to make sure that they knew that I was cancelling and didn't want to use this place but I never heard anything back from her until she called a month before the wedding demanding the rest of the payment for the facilities. There must be something wrong with this place if the approved outside caterers don't want to...
Read moreRobin was our event coordinator and she was so so lovely to work with. The space was perfect for our day. We had 150-160 wedding and we still had plenty of space. The best part of the venue is the landscape surrounding the venue. So much greenery and gorgeous trees. Inside the carpet and walls are nice and neutral and not over powering, the ceiling is high, lovely bathrooms and newish formal bar area has been added. Catering through the event center was delicious and affordable. They managed food allergies super well. Plenty of outdoor space for games and for people to spread out. Had no problems work with our other vendors DJ, linen rental, cake etc. Their pricing made it so we felt like we could breathe and get this wedding done! I didn’t have to restrict myself on some fun decor extras. I was able to do a coffee bar, with store bought items, have control over cocktail hours snacks (again store bought), and even go to add the kwik trip doughnuts I love for our dessert table. Drinks are priced so so well. Pricing allowed us to have a partial open bar that lasted a little into dinner. Bar staff were lovely. Overall, it’s a beautiful space that you can tell is well taken care of and loved by...
Read moreWe absolutely loved getting married here! It was central for all of our guests coming from Wisconsin, the Iron Range, and the Twin Cities. Kelly is so easy to talk to and she knows all of the ins and outs of every single detail they offer. I used the library as my bridal suite to get ready in with my gals. There was plenty of space for me, six bridesmaids, personal attendant, mother and mother-in-law, hairstylist, as well as my lovely set-up crew to pop in and ask questions. We also used the room after the ceremony to be with our small circle of people to celebrate with before the cocktail hour. Furthermore, Kathy's Kitchen was AMAZING!!! They were able to answer all of my parents questions and provide many opportunities to inquire about the packages they offer. The food we chose was incredible! (chicken breast with wild rice and veggies) They had wonderful timing so everything was served hot and they were so intentional about the dietary restriction meal's (we had a lot of them!). We are so grateful for the partnerships we've had with everyone involved on our wedding day. 10/10 would absolutely recommend!! Thank you Braham!...
