Very good quality meats! Friendly staff even when they were really busy the day before father's day. We drive just over an hour (round trip) just to buy their meat. We buy meat for the month or several months to have plenty on hand when we need it. They cut it, slice it & package it however you'd like, in good quality freezer paper so it's ready for freezing/storing. Excellent quality meat. Very tender real, unprocessed & local chicken, beef, pork etc... unlike those pieces of chicken you find in the family frozen pack at big grocery stores that are rubbery/chewy "chicken breasts". I was just there. At the meat counter there was a woman with dark hair and long braid. She was waiting on customers wearing black gloves pkging 10 pds of burger on the scale, at the same time using her fingers eating something from a paper tray. Then she put the empty paper tray up on the ,meat window case on top of the new paper trays to re-use? Then finished on with the order! When she was done with the order she took a rag/towel to wipe off her gloved hands. Eating with bloody gloves, in front of customers, re-using her paper tray and no one said a thing to her! Was told the next time when you want to sink your teeth into delicious steaks, buy them from Nixons Meat Market in Brandt MI….so we did! Took a side detour on the way north and picked up some good looking NY Strip steaks and smoked pork chops. I have NEVER had such a delicious steak in my life! Not even at a 5 star restaurant! We grilled for medium rare results. Do yourself a favor and visit them with a large cooler. Prices are extremely good, meat cases are full of goodness and the people are nice and helpful.
