No longer recommended. Unfortunately. I have been coming here off and on for 30 years, including many Walter Mitty historic races, and a majority of the Petit LeMans races, including the very first one. When Don Panoz bought the track his mantra was "for the fans". It seemed headed in that direction for a while, but now that he's gone, it is no longer. Attending the Petit LeMans this year in October 2023 was horrible and easily the worst, most frustrating, and most unorganized event I have ever attended. People working the event did not care, and the fan is the last thing on their mind it seemed. There are no longer many common areas at all, or space left for parking or camping. But that doesn't mean they didn't sell tickets for it. They way oversold tickets for both. There was none of either available. People just rode around circling and circling looking for parking. But there was plenty of parking in the make-specific car corrals that of course you had to have a certain make and pay a lot extra for. Of course, there was a lot of empty space in those, totally unused space cordoned off. There's also a lot of reserved RV parking now, which of course takes up huge spaces, but generates more revenue. The bathroom facilities are horrible and the same ones I encountered the first time I went there over 2 decades ago- no improvements. It also took over one and a half hours to exit the property on Friday night. I'm not sure how long it took after the actual big race night of Saturday, as we left early before the race was even over so we would not have to repeat that terrible experience. To add to the general disgust, The food vendors allowed on site are evidently unregulated and were charging as much as they wanted to their hearts content with a single small slider size hamburger being $14 before tax. It's just all out of hand . I'm sure they don't really care as they definitely have the demand as witnessed with it being oversold and all, but I am a long time fan/ customer that is lost....

We went there for Formula Drift on May 13, 2023. The tickets were easily double the price of what they were even two years ago, and the parking pass fee was $10 for a $10 parking pass...it cost $20 for a $10 parking pass. My wife and I spent around $150 for just the two of us to go for Saturday only. We had to get there at 5 in the morning in order to even get a decent spot in line, and the staff were miscommunicating with each other and sending us to will call and the gate and back and forth to get our bands and our parking passes. I walked from will call to the gate and back 3 times due to the miscommunication. The parking situation this year was by far the worst in the last 7 years. People were parking their cars wherever they wanted and it was a cluster. People were blocked in like crazy and there were 3 staff members parking the whole event on turn 10. This was a huge issue. Lastly, when we were exiting the track, we waited 26 minutes after the event before our car even moved a single foot, and we took close to an hour to get out of the track. The traffic situation is absolutely abysmal and the staff were not organized in leading people out of the track. We are not returning next year due to the high cost and the parking situation as a whole. It truly is a cluster and ever since Michelin bought the track, the events have gone down hill and they have been double dipping the profits from formula drift and their own parking passes. They oversell the event to max their profit and there's no room left for anybody to...

I went to pick up my 4 year old from my husband at a drift event 5/6/22 due to the high winds and even though we had a parking pass and I dropped my husband and child off earlier they refused to let me through and made my child walk the extremely long way in high winds. My sister spoke up to the manager and said she wouldn’t help due to her being β€œrude” in which she was just speaking up for the inconsistency in the β€œrules” they had. She was power tripping over me picking up a small child. Ridiculous. If you have certain rules keep them consistent. If I could leave zero stars for this sad excuse of a manager I would. Do better.

If she would’ve respectfully came to me and said something along the lines of β€œHey Ma’am I’m sorry for the inconsistency in communication with letting you come through earlier but I can’t do that now due to it being one of our track rules” I would’ve understood. But I don’t because of this conversation. My sister went up to her and they spoke for a little and at the end of the conversation my sister said β€œso you’re saying the child has to walk up and down the hill even though we have a parking pass” and she said word for word β€œbecause you have an attitude yes”. Again she didn’t have an attitude we just weren’t understanding why we couldn’t do what we did earlier. So yeah 10/10 super lame of this woman to power trip over picking up a...

Iconic racetrack located in the Southeast. What's not to love about a long back straight that slingshots you out of turn 9 and drops you into turns 10a and 10b? Hard on the brakes that separates the Men from the boys! Nice front straight leading to a high speed sweeping, uphill turn that takes you over the hill for a quick flick of your motorcycle from left to right and back left again. Divebombs you through a short series of esses, just as you have to set up for turn 5... Keeping the front wheel on the ground is nearly impossible as you come through the turn on the gas and crest the hill. Late braking is a must for turn 6! Carry lots of speed as you navigate its slightly banked apex and set up for one of the most important turns on the racetrack... Mighty turn 7!!! Hard on the brakes to make this almost 90 degree, flat right hand turn. Scrub just enough speed to drag your knee through the apex and on the gas... HARD on the gas to keep that momentum high and increase your drive off the corner and onto that beautifully long back straightaway that I referred to earlier! String it all together, with proper throttle control and good lines... It makes for one of the best tracks I have had the pleasure to ride a motorcycle on. Remember... Bring extra fuel, this track will make your machine thirsty!🍺

One of my favorite tracks--enough that I make the 16 hour drive from Houston each year. Track surface is pretty good overall (esp compared to Texas tracks) and has a really good flow for bikes. There is a bump coming in to turn 1 and some uneven pavement on the exit of 1 leading to turn 2 that you can hit if you're not on the proper line that can upset your bike though. It's a very fast track and is what I would consider a liter bike track though I had plenty of fun on my 675. I just spenf half of the back straight with the bike topped out so I would recommend re-gearing to get more top end. The facilities are showing their age but everything works. There's showers and bathrooms on the second tier paddock terrace and this year the second tier was blocked off to vehicles I'm guessing because it had just been repaved? The lower/main paddock has electric drops and even some water hookups. Some of the electrical hookups look like an electrical fire waiting to happen while others look good. There's full fluid recycling on site which is really nice. Spectating is really good as there are perimeter roads that allow for access to most of the track. Location is good overall. Grocery stores, super Walmart, etc within 10-15 minutes drive.
