Wish there was a negative 5 stars. Worst experience ever. So after I picked my boat up and really looked at the billable hours, I message the owner to call me because he was not there. He had his mechanic call, the mechanic told me he was too busy running for Sheriff. We had a good discussion, he said he will call me first thing in the morning. Next day I never heard from them, I called the mobile number he called me on. 3 times. No answer. Called the shop number 3 times that day as well. No answer. I put a stop payment on the check until I talked to someone about the charges. Next day I called another mercury dealer that I have used in the past. They are a 2 hr drive from me and thatās why I didnāt use them. Wanted to give someone closer a shot. (Horrible idea) He said the part is around 1,400 dollars which they charged 1831.00 for it. 2 hr labor @135/hr, they charged 4 hrs@175.00. Then other hourly charges on other stuff I still donāt understand. Iāll post the bill and see for yourself. 6 hrs to wire an amp that I already had wires there for, 2 hrs to tune it! Long story short, I talked to the mechanic finally the next day. I explained to him that I put a stop pay on check and asked him to go over the bill with me and Iāll gladly come up there and pay. He said he would waive a few hours on the ticket and thatās the best he can do and would check on the part cost. Ended on a good note. I received the email and no changes were made. Got a call from the owners wife threatening to press charges as she should because they need to get paid. Which I completely understand. I explained to her about everything and she demanded to be paid in full or she will press charges. Not to mention they broke off my perko switch and they said that they will do nothing about it. Bottom line I will pay because thatās what I owe. $8,082.09 Expensive lesson that I will never forget.Never heard from the owner, guess heās still campaigning...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSent brand new 2023 boat in multiple times for transmission overheating. Each time I was charged and was told it was fixed. Within about 30 minutes of being in the water each time, I got the same overheating message. Mechanic said I needed a new transmission. I disagreed and asked for receipts for the "work" they had done. I called, emailed, blasted on Facebook. Owner, Kevin, deleted me from Facebook and sent a private message asking why I blasted him and his business. I explained, yet still never received any paperwork. They also broke both of the hydraulic arms on the engine cover, which they did provide me with new ones, but they wouldn't put them on. Hauled it to Houston (LMC Marine - highly recommend!) and it turned out to be a bad temp sensor which was covered under warranty. They even washed my boat for free versus the $505 Liquid Rides charged. I'll never return nor vote for him for Sheriff! There are better places to go if you're willing to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf you live anywhere on or around the coast and you donāt use Liquid Rides to work on or service your boat you are making a big mistake. They will go above and beyond to help get you back on the water and make sure you are satisfied with their work. Jason will walk you step by step on whatever it is he is working on on your boat. They will not rip you off when it comes to diagnosing a motor problem like a lot of these other places. Most will make you feel like you have to sell your house to pay for the problem they THINK you have. Not these guys. They let you know what it is and let you make the call on how you want to move forward. They can get you on the water for a tournament with a fix or let you know, you might want to borrow a boat for the weekend and save yourself a world of hurt in the long run. And a lot of money. If you want great service, with great, honest mechanics this is place to use for your boat. Thanks...
