Shupp's Grove was always the last destination for serious buyers, something I had never been able to understand. New owners invested much time and money in an attempt to make it more successful. It is still the nicest shopping environment in Adamstown having a comfortable shopping experience, modern bathroom facilities, and friendly owners. I did notice the restaurant was not as clean as in the past and the food offered seemed more like that of a convenience store instead of the fresh food offered the last time I was there. Their flea market Saturdays are fun and a pleasant change from the tired wares displayed by the regulars. I can understand the need for rental income but I think the biggest mistake the market owners made was the seasonal rental agreement allowing dealers to set up tents. I was looking at an item I liked so I called my husband over he said no because it was too loose and needed additional reinforcement for what we needed it for. I thought well if that's the case perhaps I could get it a little less so being a market I asked him if he could go any lower in price. That was my mistake! His friends were so embarrassed that the nice lady had to walk away.... if you go there beware of this man with hair shaved and patched on the sides with a ponytail he's definitely a psychopath. We will not...
