2 Star because of major disappointment. I'm complaining today because we paid $200 for a summer pass and had to leave due to their poor communication, poor advertising online, and at the facility, about 5 different families dealt with and felt the same way as us.
When you look at the website its confusing, the very top shows clear as day pool hours are delayed, but the hours are open from 11am-5pm. Later finding out upon arrival they don't open the OUTSIDE pool, (the more popular pool during summer) doesn't open until 12:30... only being an about an hour from opening, our family and 4 others all thought the same thing, it opened at 11 and figured we would just let the kids go play in the park beside the pool. This park is off to the side and completely fenced separate from the pool. All the kids were having a great time, well behaved and staying inside the gates of the park, not going to the pool side, then the lifeguards come over to kick us out. They explained they didn't want the kids to go play in the pool b4 opening.. This is what pushed the last button, I know its not their fault, not mad at them, just doing as told im sure, but where in the facility was this in writing they couldn't play in there and not go in the pool as we waited???. We just paid $200 and couldn't even play in the park as we waited during open hours, none of the kids even stepped foot outside of the gates to the pool side, every single kid was adult supervised to not allow that to happen. This is a pathetic set of rules. Obviously we will return for the kids so they can play, but management should really look into updating their website so there's no confusion and allowing kids to play in the playground without entering the pool even if it's outside of pool hours.
... I haven't even mentioned how proud this place is to charge what they charge and only allow certain things and offer certain things. The pool is extremely tiny and always overcrowded, it accommodates smaller children only and doesn't consider older children. The majority of the pool is shallow, hardly any space for the bigger kids to play or adults to relax. It's a shame this is our only family pool...
Read moreMy daughters birthday party was here on the 5th of May. We reserved the entire pool, and was told we could set up 30 minutes early, that didn’t happen. Facility restrooms were not clean, and basically paid 200 dollars for 2 hours. Just to have the doors locked behind us while taking stuff out to the car and left my daughters clothes in the cubby due to being rushed. They locked the door behind us and when we went back the next day in the morning her belongings were not there and no explanation. Pretty bad when you steal a birthday girl’s new shoes and her birthday outfit and say it wasn’t the staff. No offense to the pool, but the staff is obviously shady, not taking care of the facilities and who’s know what else. I will post this on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter to warn other parties. Update 5/23/18 Was contacted based on poor review recently and was offered reimbursement for belongings. Was happy to hear that they were found however I already purchased news ones the next day to replace the ones my daughter had. The facility made amends to correct the issue with what happened and would hold discussion with the party responsible for the infraction. Quick turn around and happy that they seemed concerned. Hopefully my next visit will be a lot smoother and...
Read moreThe BEST summer activity for young kids! I have a 7yo, 5yo and 2yo and if we lived in Brenham, we'd be getting the summer pass. Do yourself a favor and check this place out immediately. It opens at 12:30 so that gives you time to grab a scoop from Blue Bell across the street and have a quick lunch. They do allow light snacks and drinks inside so don't forget your cooler and ice.
My big kids loved their bigger slide. If your child is between 40-48" he/she can do a swim test to be able to do the big slide. Taller than 48" is automatic admission. There are plenty of smaller slides for smaller kids who may need to keep their floaties on. I loved that there was an area for every age. There's also a small, covered playground if they need to get out of the water for a bit. If you have middle school/high school kids, they may not enjoy the space so much so commission them to be helpers for the littles. We can't wait to...
