HandCraft House — Local services in Brewster

I was delighted to find this fun, artistic shop, full of beautiful creations. I intended to buy a souvenir for my husband, and was successful (a beautiful handmade sculpture of a wind-blown tree)... However I also ended up walking out with several necklaces and earrings for myself (oops), as well as a number of beautiful keepsakes (sculptures, vases, and the like) and Christmas ornaments. I was really impressed with the price point, as it placed these lovely pieces within my budget (so I was able to spend a lot more than I intended, and get a lot more!). But these are not cheap, touristy tchotchkes; rather, they are a beautifully curated collection of a wide variety of pieces, all from local artists. It was exactly the store I was looking for on my way out of town. I'll definitely go back if I'm in the area again. They also have an online store, and I was told that jewelry ships for free (so now I'm in even more trouble!)....

This is a most delightful shop! The owners are charming people and enjoy spending time with their customers and making them "feel at home" while they browse the wide array of items in the store. You can find watercolors by Eileen Smith and other Cape artists, relaxing CD's, beautiful and unique jewelry and many other decorative items for inside and outside your home. I go in often and always find new treasures and "just the right gift" for family and friends. One of my favorite gifts to give is the "hugging" mug...the handle is not the usual and you can tuck your fingers into it as you sip your warm beverage..... Stop...

Lovely, unique gifts that are hand crafted and many represent Cape Cod. It is owned by a lovely young couple who have even shipped items to me back in N.J. once I left the Cape. They have many hand painted Capes scenes done by the shop's previous owner, Eileen Smith in both watercolor and oils. I went back this time for their supply of adorable and beautiful bird houses but they also carry glass suncatchers and other lovely gifts. Make Handcraft House one of your stops before...
