The weather was great and I did enjoy walking about to view about a quarter of everything that there was to see. However, I give the Brimfield Antique show only 1 star for the simple reason that there are few trash cans evident in the entire town wide venue. Not to mention a considerable lack of recyclable containers as well. I carried trash for almost 1/2 of the main street walk before I could locate a trash can to leave the trash in. This trash can was not in a easily accessible location but involved a detour from my journey. Food vendor areas outside what appears to be the main food court seemed to have few trash receptacles as well and not very well placed to account for entry into and out of the area. Another down side is that there is no readily visible or noticeable location to re-fill a water bottle. If an airport can provide this capability for the multitudes that they service, why cannot the town of Brimfield address this and the trash can issue. I've seen other towns invest in temporary disposable cardboard containers lined with trash bags. Apparently the need to derive the income is overcoming what would seem to be a...
Read moreWent to Brimfield for the first time this May 2019. Certainly lots to see, so much so that you need at least 2 days of solid walking around to see most of it. Overall it wasn't really worth the drive from Western PA as we saw a lot of new/modern flea market junk for sale which I hadn't expected. Also some of the fields/flea market areas were under water. Venders in those areas said that this is how it always is when it rains? It was pretty obvious that some loads of stone on the roadways inside the vendor areas would make things much better. We also heard and talked to many unhappy vendors who said the owners of the fields don't care about anything once they have the money. Several of the vendor tents had water throughout them. Had to walk through standing water and mud to get to porta potties. Some of the other fields were in much better shape and had nicer items for sale but the prices were in line with going to an Antique Mall. It is what it is....maybe if it hasn't rained in a week it would be a better experience. You just would think they would make some minor repairs to make it nicer for the vendors...
Read moreThis place was awesome, and huge, with lots and lots of people. If you like antiques you will love this place. There is so much to choose from make sure to bring your good walking shoes and lots of water. You could even pack a lunch there are tables you can buy food or just sit and eat. Lots of food vendors to choose from too. Plan on a whole day there and get there really early cause by 8AM the traffic is horrendous. Tou could sit in a 3 mile run of road for more than 45 minutes to get from one end to they other, you could walk it faster there is so much traffic. You have to pay for parking, some more expensive than others. I parked at mays place 1 day and new england motel another day and New england motel was better with they really clean porta potties right there, and they have someone cleaning them all day long. If you gwt the chance to go make sure you go cause this was an...
