Mission Blue Center — Local services in Brisbane

Beautiful location - horrible customer service. We had our wedding here 8/26/17. The spot is beautiful and they have a kitchen that is great for catering set up. The issue is is Terry who manages the location. When we first walked to see the location she was grumpy and moody and fought us about what we wanted the whole time. Example I wanted the photobooth in the back small room, but she wanted it set up by the front door - things like that which didn't affect her (it was being set up by the DJ) but she had an opinion on everything. Per the contract they are supposed to set up and break down the tables. When the the party was over she refused to do the breakdown and made our caterer do it. Since we were not prepared to do this it made the cleanup time last longer. She then began to scream at my mother in front of the guest who had lingered behind threatening to keep our deposit. They are also supposed to, again per the contract, provide cleaning supplies. They had one broom and one mop for the whole location. We had our guest on their hands and knees cleaning with paper towels because she was YELLING at everyone that we had 15 minutes to finish or we lost our deposit. Terry was quick to point out what you need to get done to get your deposit back and hold it over your head while not following thru on their end. It's like a community center without the busy streets. There is a conference center, tennis and pickleball court and a baseball park. There are electric car charging slots in some of the parking spaces. There are two restrooms for men and women. Lots of parking on the side of the street. Handicap parking spaces are available.
